~nick~

I don’t know what I’m doing. Seeing Lily again brought back memories I thought I had buried and burned.

The day I came back to the club after a run, I was so excited to see her. So when they told me she left, I didn’t believe them. Not until I came to her room and noticed that all of her stuff was gone. She didn’t leave a note or anything; she just up and left.

Fuck. But who would have thought it was her rerouting our shipments? I knew she was always tech-savvy, but to break into the shipping dock just to get our attention was beyond crazy. Now, here she was, asking me for help.

I walked down the hall, heading to the bar to try to clear my head, when I heard her voice. She was talking to Ironhead. Those two always used to be close when she was at the club. I think I broke Ironhead’s nose once when I thought he was fucking her.

I stopped outside the doorway, listening.

“I know I messed up, Ironhead,” she was saying. “But I’m here now, and I want to fix things.”

Ironhead’s gruff voice responded, “I know, Lily. Just give it time. Lightning’s got a hard head, but he’ll come around. He just needs to see you’re serious.”

I sighed, the frustration bubbling up inside me. Part of me wanted to storm in and confront her, but another part of me wanted to give her a chance. Maybe she did want to make things right. Maybe she was here to help.

I took a deep breath and pushed the door open, walking into the room. Both Lily and Ironhead looked up I paid them no mind, but it was still too much. I turned around and left.

I heard her sigh before I made my way back to my office. The weight of the past and the present was heavy on my shoulders. I needed to clear my head, to think.

As I sat down at my desk, I couldn’t shake the feeling of betrayal mixed with a glimmer of hope. Could I really trust her again? Could she help the club like she say she wants to?

A knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts. It was Ironhead.

“What is it?” I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

He stepped inside and closed the door behind him. “Prez, we need to talk about Lily.”

I sighed, rubbing my temples. “What about her?”

“She’s serious, man. I’ve known her a long time, and I can tell when she’s being genuine. She wants to help why else would she come back, she’s got the skills to do it. We need her right now.”

I looked up at him, seeing the sincerity in his eyes. “I know, Ironhead. But it’s not that simple. She left us. She left me. How can I just let that go?”

He nodded, understanding. “It’s not about letting it go. It’s about moving forward. We’ve all made mistakes. This is her chance to make things right. Give her that chance, for the club’s sake.”

I leaned back in my chair, considering his words. He was right. The club needed her expertise, and maybe, just maybe, I needed to see if she could truly make things right.

“Alright,” I finally said. “I’ll give her a chance. But I’m not making any promises. She’s on thin ice.”

Ironhead smiled, relief evident on his face. “Thanks, Prez. You won’t regret it.”

I blew out a breath when Ironhead left. Better go and talk to her and see what ideas she has to bring down this company.

I got up and made my way to the room where she was staying. Snake sat at the door, keeping watch. He nodded as I knocked.

“Come in,” Lily’s voice called from inside.

I pushed the door open and stepped inside. She was sitting on the edge of the bed, her laptop open in front of her. She looked up, her eyes wary but hopeful.

“Hey,” I said, trying to keep my tone neutral.

“Hey,” she replied, closing her laptop.

I leaned on the door. “So, tell me what exactly is on the flash drive you gave me.”

She sat up on the bed, thinking. “Documents about your shipping routes. Well, not only you guys but other clubs around the country. Drug imports too, but not you guys. They’re dealing drugs, making them, and selling them to other clubs. Then, when they get the money, they betray the club, causing them to either go to jail or worse.” She trailed off. “Anyway, their eyes are set on this club at the moment. They don’t have much yet, but they’re digging. Look, Nick, I just want to help. I’m hoping to shut them down before things get really dirty.”

She looked at me, her eyes filled with desperation. I could see the fear behind her resolve, but also the strength she was trying to muster.

I took a deep breath, considering her words. “Alright, Lily. We’ll take them down together. But you need to be careful. They’re not going to go down without a fight.”

She nodded, her expression serious. “I know. I’m ready for this.”

~Nick~“Well, that was a shit show,” I rasped out.I had been busy in my office when I heard a bunch of commotion downstairs. Just as I rounded the corner, I saw lone police officers barging into the club. After that, I saw red as I made my way downstairs to intervene. I knew Lily would make herself scarce the moment she heard the police identify themselves. She knew they were after her and would do anything to get her, even planting false evidence to detain her.I stormed down the stairs, my anger rising with each step. The officers were spreading out, their hands resting near their holsters, their voices echoing through the club.“We’re looking for Lily Johnson,” one of them announced loudly. “If anyone knows where she is, it would be in your best interest to tell us now.”I pushed through the crowd of confused and angry club members to confront the officer who seemed to be in charge.“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” I demanded, my voice booming over the murmurs of the cro

~lily~As I walked down the stairs, I could feel eyes on me. I looked around, noticing the girls all staring at me, one in particular giving me a nasty glare.
I smiled back and continued walking until I heard a small feminine voice behind me.
“Your name’s Lily, right?”
I turned around and came face to face with a tall, slim female with golden hair and hazel eyes. I smiled. “Yes, I am.”
“My name is Jen. You probably don’t know me since I came after you left, but I’ve heard all about you from the other girls.”
I looked over her shoulder as the other girls watched our interaction.
“Probably bad news, I bet.”
“Oh no,” Jen said quickly. “Well, besides Priscilla. She’s infatuated with the prez,” she added, rolling her eyes.
I chuckled softly. “Figures. There’s always one in every group.”
Jen smiled sympathetically. “Yeah, well, she thinks she owns the place. Just ignore her. The rest of us are actually pretty nice.”
I nodded, feeling a bit more at ease. “Thanks, Jen. It’

~nick~ The next day, Lily, Ironhead, Snake, and Death were all in my office.
“Okay, listen up,” I began. “It seems that a company named Vehement is trying to sabotage or bring down motorcycle clubs in the area, and they have set their sights on us. Lily here has come to us with information on their moves and also for her protection. It seems the boss of this operation has caught wind of Lily snooping into their files and is trying to either frame her or kill her. So, here’s the plan.”
Everyone in the room leaned in concerned about the situation.
“We’re going to hit them first,” I said firmly. “We need to gather more intel and find out just how deep this goes. Ironhead, you and Snake will be our eyes on the ground. I want you to stake out Vehement’s main office. Find out who’s coming and going, and see if you can get any leads on their next move.”
Ironhead nodded. “Got it, Prez.
“Hey, wait,” Snake interjected. “I thought I was on babysitting duties—I mean, security detail, protec

~lily~ I looked at him, expecting him to say something else, but he didn’t. He just nodded and was about to exit.
“Wait,” I shouted.
He turned back.
“Can we talk?” I whispered.
He hesitated for a moment, then nodded and turned towards me.
I took a deep breath in and let it out. “I didn’t want to leave you. I just wanted to find myself. I mean, all my life, all I have ever known was the motorcycle life. I just wanted to figure out who I was and what I was meant to do. I know I didn’t do it the right way, and I apologize for that. Please, can you forgive me?” I asked, my eyes searching his.
He stood there for a moment, his eyes locked on mine. The silence between us felt heavy, loaded with the weight of the past.
“I… I get it,” he finally said, his voice softer than I expected. “You needed to find yourself. I just wish you’d told me. We could have figured it out together.”
I swallowed hard, tears stinging my eyes. “I was scared, Nick. Scared that I wouldn’t be enough, that this

~lily~ I watched him head out, probably going to tell the rest of the guys. I made my way out of his office, Snake following behind.
I couldn’t help but look around. The place seemed the same, but it wasn’t. It seemed Nick decided to high-tech the place as I looked at the security cameras around the room.
“So, how do you know the prez?” Snake stated, his rough voice startling me.
“Umm,” I blushed, “we used to see each other when I was around the club.”
I glanced back at Snake and watched as he looked at me curiously. “Sooo, you and the prez used to fuck?” he said bluntly.
I rolled my eyes at his crude words. I guess some things never change. “Yes, we used to fuck.”
“So you were a club whore and decided to bail out of the business?” he stated.
I turned around, irritated at his words. “Look, yes, I was a club whore. Yes, I slept around, but don’t ever think that I ran out. I was looking to better myself, to find out who I really was,” I stated as I spun around and marched off, l
