Hazel West
After we handled the majority of the things on our schedule, we decided to go for lunch together at a nearby restaurant.
“Good day”, a waiter greeted us standing by our table. “What would you like to have?”
“I’ll take rice and roasted beans with chicken” I said.
“I’ll have what she’s has” Jacob says.
“Alright then, coming right up” the waiter says and leaves.
Minutes later, our food was served and we dug in.
“Uhmm, Hazel, I need you to write up a contract” Jacob said with his mouth full.
“A contract for what?”
“I’m renting BLC for at least a year and if it does well, I’m going to go ahead and buy it”
BLC was the largest journalism and newspaper producing company in Germany.
“What” I said with my mouth open
“Hazel, please close your mouth before a fly enters” he said, chuckling, “Our firm is currently doing well, and I want to branch out. I have already met with the CEO of BLC, and he is running out of funds to continue running the business. He is in agreement to rent it out to me.”
I poured myself a glass of water and gulped it as my mouth was feeling dry from the news I had just heard.
“Jacob, you really want to buy BLC, Germany’s largest journalism company” I asked, still doubting what I had heard.
“I’m not buying it yet, I’m going to rent it for a year and if it brings in a profit, I’ll negotiate and buy it” he repeated. “There’s more news, but I’ll have to tell you that over dinner at your house with Zion”
What could he possibly want to tell me that I should wait till dinner? Well, I can’t wait to find out.
“Jacob, I’m really proud of you and how far you’ve come and how far you are going” I said after recovering from the shock. “I’m always here to support you in whatever decision you take.”
He held my hand and kissed it.
“OK, so I really need you to draw up the contract and send it to my lawyer for approval after lunch” he said, switching back to professional mode.
“Jacob, I have to pick up Zion after lunch, I always do. Did you forget?”
“Oh I’m so sorry, my bad, but that contract is very important, and I need you to send it to my lawyer this afternoon. I want everything to be concluded by tomorrow morning”
“What about Zion? It’s almost his school’s closing time”
“OK, how about this? I’ll send one of the drivers that Zion is familiar with to go pick him up. Is that fine?”
“OK, that’s better. Thank you”, I said sincerely
We finished lunch and headed back to the office. Jacob heads off to a meeting with some investors while I write up the contract for him. While writing, I received a call from the driver Jacob sent to pick up Zion.
“Hello, good day ma’am” his voice came up after I picked up the call.
“Luca, hi, what’s up” I responded.
“I’m at Zion’s school and I have sight on the boy, but he refuses to come with me except I take his playmate along too” Luca tells me
“Okay, let me talk to him.”
A few seconds later, Zion’s voice comes up on the other end.
“Mommy” Zion calls out with his little voice.
“My darling”
“Why didn’t you come pick me up? I wanted to show you my new friend today” he said, his sadness evident in his voice.
“I’m so sorry honey, mommy was swamped with work. How about this? You bring your new friend home, and I’ll meet him at dinner” I said.
“Yayyyyy, you’re the best mommy ever” he says with excitement.
“Great, now pass the phone to Mr. Luca”, I told him.
“What’s the word ma’am”? Luca’s voice came back.
“Find out from Zion’s friend, his parents contact and call them and tell them the situation. If they agree to a playdate, take the boy home with Zion and send them our address to pick him up. If they don’t agree, just pick up Zion, I’ll deal with him when I get home.”
“Alright ma’am”
I continue with the contract and finish it in the evening. After sending it to Jacob’s lawyer, I turned off my computer, arranged all the files and placed a call to Jacob. A few minutes after I call him, he arrives and drives us to my house for dinner.
We reached, and I opened the front door to see Zion and his friend stacking some toys. As soon as he notices my presence, he runs to me and gives me a hug.
“Zion, you’re so obsessed with mommy you didn’t even notice me”, Jacob says, carrying him up.
“I’m sorry Jacob”, Zion apologizes, still giggling after Jacob puts him down.
“Don’t worry about it, champ,” Jacob says “who’s your little friend?”
“Mommy, Jacob, this is William, my best friend in the whole wide world” he said, so excited.
Jacob and I took turns saying hi to William, and then I invited him for dinner.
I quickly headed upstairs and changed up and came down to the kitchen to prepare dinner while Jacob kept the boys’ company. I quickly asked Luca if he contacted the boy’s parents, and he said he did, and the father was on his way here. I thanked him and dismissed him.
I bring the food to the dining table and call everyone, and they all assemble at the
table. We’re about to dig in when we hear the doorbell ring and I rush to get it. I opened the door and I couldn’t believe my eyes.
“Dunlop” I said in shock.
My Ex-husband just found me
Hazel WestThe ballroom was alive with excitement, laughter echoing off the walls, and glasses clinking in celebration. I stood near the entrance, taking in the sea of familiar faces, all dressed in their finest and gathered to celebrate with us. I still couldn’t fully believe it—our wedding day, the day I officially became Mrs. West.Across the room, Dunlop caught my eye. He looked striking in his tuxedo, his hair perfectly styled, and that familiar, irresistible smile tugging at his lips. My heart did a little dance just watching him. After everything—the arguments, the breakups, the makeups, and every crazy turn in between—it all led us here. He was laughing with a group of friends, but his eyes kept drifting back to me, a soft look of reassurance and love in his gaze, like he was still making sure I was really there, that this was really happening.A waiter passed by, balancing a tray of champagne, and I grabbed a glass, taking a sip to steady my nerves. It was such a strange but
Dunlop West It had been over a month since we left Arizona and relocated to New York fully. Camilla had signed the contract and we had given her a small sum. She was finally out of our lives for good and she was never coming back. The kids were schooling here in New York and enjoying their time here. Hazel had started her own company and was now a CEO of her own Charisa had been promoted from secret spy/ stunt double to supervisory special agent and she and Lily were now engaged Everything was going smoothly The house was buzzing with activity. It was Hazel's birthday, and everyone was chipping in to make it special. Charisa and Lily were in the kitchen, coordinating the catering and preparing a feast. Zion and William were hanging streamers and balloons, their faces flushed with excitement. I was in the living room, arranging flowers and setting up a small stage for a surprise performance later in the evening.Miranda was in charge of the cake, which she was decorating with int
Hazel West I had moved back in with Dunlop and the kids joy knew no bounds “Hey boy” I called out to William and Zion. It was time tell Zion that Dunlop was his real father and Dunlop was nervous and elated all at the same time I could feel the tension in the air as we gathered in the living room. Dunlop paced back and forth, his hands running through his hair, while I tried to stay calm, sitting on the couch with William and Zion beside me. Both boys were excited, oblivious to the weight of the moment. “Mom, what’s going on?” Zion asked, looking up at me with those wide, curious eyes that always made my heart melt. “Yeah, what’s the big surprise?” William chimed in, bouncing on the balls of his feet, unable to contain his energy. I took a deep breath, reaching for Zion’s hand, and Dunlop finally stopped pacing, coming to stand in front of us. He knelt down, so he was at eye level with the boys, his expression softening as he looked at Zion. “There’s something important we n
He followed me seconds later, his body shuddering as he came, collapsing on top of me, both of us panting, drenched in sweat and rainwater. For a long moment, we just lay there, tangled in each other, the sound of our breathing the only thing breaking the silence. Finally, he rolled off me, pulling me into his arms, holding me close. “I’m so sorry, Hazel,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “I didn't know Camilla was going to try to drug me, I would have been more cautious. I'm sorry you had to see us like that” I rested my head on his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart, the sound soothing, comforting. “I know,” I whispered back. “We’ll face everything together, Dunlop. No more running away.” “What suddenly changed your mind? You were so mad at me before and now you believe me? What happened” he asked running his hands in my hair I pulled away from him and looked at him “Your mother called and she advised me to put my emotions away and think clearly. And s
Hazel West “Hazel wait”Dunlop yelled under the rain “Please don't go. I can explain everything” I ran over to him and jumped on him, engulfing him in a hug. I could sense his confusion as he wrapped his hands around me. “You don't have to explain anything, I believe you” I whispered still hugging him “You do?” He asked in shock as he dropped me “I do” I said holding his face “I'm so sorry I didn't believe you at first, I'm sorry I left you all by yourself” I leaned in and kissed him and his hands wrapped around my waist as he kissed me back I held his hand and we ran back inside. We headed up to my room and I barely managed to close the door before Dunlop’s lips crashed into mine. The rain had soaked us through, our clothes were clinging to our bodies, but all I could feel was the heat radiating between us, the cold completely forgotten. Dunlop’s hands trembled as he held my face, pulling back just enough to look into my eyes. “Hazel, I’ve missed you so much. I thou
Hazel West I kept turning in my bed. I couldn't sleep, Dunlop and Camilla naked together kept flashing across my mind. I sat up on my bed and held my head in my arms. How could Dunlop do this to me after all the promises we made to each other?I still loved Dunlop and it was so foolish of me. I picked up my phone and scrolled through pictures of us and tears formed in my eyes Why did he even come here? What was he trying to explain? I saw them naked together Camilla words kept ringing in my head ‘He'll always come back to me’“Mummy, we called grandma to talk to her on our tablet and now she wants to talk to you” William said peeping through the slight gap in my door “I don't want to talk to anyone. Maybe later” I sniffed “Hazel, I'm not asking if I can talk to you, I'm telling you that I need to talk to you” I heard Mirinda say from William's tablet. She was placed on speakerphone I walked over to William and took the tablet from him before he went to his room “Hi Mirinda” I
