LOGINJacob's POV
Mom was seriously pissed and mad at me. She hasn't said a single word that was addressed to me. Dad was also quite furious; maybe part of it was because I embarrassed him in front of his best friend and rejected Addison in front of everybody.
After publicly denying her, I was called to the principal's office and received a lot of backlash from the university's staff and even the principal.
"That was so unlike you, Jacob. What the hell are you even thinking? The Crescent Moon might not be one of the big three like yours, but they are a force to be reckoned with and are considered the fourth greatest pack of our city! And her mother!--" The principal exhaled and held his head while stroking it. He didn't continue to talk about Addison's mom.
"We are lucky if Sophia will come back to school next week by the time the classes start; if not, I will hold you accountable, young man." He added and motioned for me to get out of his office. I just politely exited, and when I closed the door, three shitheads immediately swarmed around me.
"Holy shit Jacob! You really rejected Sophia Addison! The SOPHIA ADDISON!" Henry Prescott, my cousin and best friend, not by choice but because we have been stuck with each other ever since we were young and maybe unluckily for eternity, shrieked like he's some teenaged she-wolf.
Benjamin Martin instantly blocked his mouth with a cloth from Goddess knows where he got it and shushed him out.
"Sandra will surely be on me once I go home," Xander Williams gloomingly murmured, since his adored and favorite cousin is Addison's best friend.
I just went past them, but they followed and persistently went on my case about the rejection, especially Henry, who just had to open his mouth.
"Hey bro, since you rejected her, that means I can have her as my chosen mate!" He smirked, and I unconsciously pinned him down by the wall with my left arm on his neck and my free hand about to punch him, but Ben stopped me. He moved his head sideways, showing me that there are still a lot of students watching and that they are now peeking at us.
"HOW DARE HE? AT HIS FUTURE ALPHA!" Luke growled in my head, and I can feel my eyes flicker as Luke tries to gain control over me again. He had been trying to stop me ever since I rejected Addison; he constantly tried to stop me, but I always shut him out.
"SHE IS MINE!" He sneered ferociously and went wild in my head.
"TAKE IT BACK!" he added, and I could feel my surroundings tensing up as Henry coughed up blood. He told me he took it back and was just joking.
I loosen my grip on him. Didn't Ben grab my hand to stop me? I stared at my hand full of Henry's blood as Ben and Xander helped him stand up. Damn it. Luke took control over me and punched Henry mercilessly. If Henry hadn't taken back his words, I have no doubt Luke might have really killed him.
"What on Goddess' name did you do, Luke?" I snapped at him in my head.
"I could say the same thing to you! You even have the nerve to mention Moon Goddess when you rejected her blessing! Stupid Jacob!" He growled and went to the back of my head, not wanting to converse with me any further. I apologized to my cousin, and he just nodded.
"You sure are a possessive one for someone who just—" Henry didn't finish his sentence since Ben covered his mouth. Both he and Xander dragged Henry away while waving back at me, and I can only hear Henry's suppressed complaints as they continue to vanish from my sight. When I looked away from the three of them, I could sense that the students immediately faked being busy with something. I just didn't mind them and went on my way to the ground floor, where my enraged parents were waiting for me.
When I arrived, they just glared at me, and we went out the gate of the school grounds. We didn't bring a car, so we just wolfed out and ran throughout the woods from the university en route to Blood Moon Pack.
We weren't that far from the university when I turned around to change my direction as I felt a growing pain in my chest. She was attacked. Shit. I felt my heart beat faster each time I ran. Mom and dad sensed something was wrong and also changed directions to follow me. They asked me what happened, and I just told them I sensed Addison was in danger through the bond. Luke was panicking, and together we hastened up our pace. Mom and dad just continued to follow me close by and quietly; they knew I would be pissed if they inquired even further. At a distance, we can see her family's car and lots of blood. My heart dropped as I smelled Addison's blood on the ground, and Luke wasn't even helping when he growled and is now hysterical. I tried to calm him down, but he could not even take a breath, not when he just saw and smelled his mate's blood.
Mom and dad sensed someone was nearby, and they went to check it out as I just continued running towards Crescent Moon Pack.
After what felt like decades, even though I ran my heart out, I finally arrived. The wolf guards by the entrance were quite shocked to see me but still greeted me with pride and honor for their pack. I am guessing Alpha Daniel was busy with Addision and hasn't told his pack yet about the rejection. I ignored both of the wolf guards and instantly went by them.
I followed her scent, and it led me to what looked like their house. I shifted back, and luckily my clothes are still intact since a special material was used in making them, and only the Alpha's family of the big three are allowed to have access to this kind of fabric. I barged inside and broke the door. I was about to go even further, but Alpha Daniel grabbed my shoulders.
"And where do you think you're going, young man?" He sneered and was about to punch me, but he stopped, thinking that it could make his daughter's situation worse. He grabbed his hair out of annoyance, and Luna Anna ran inside their house. She was quite surprised to see me inside and even more shocked when she looked at the door that I broke, and she gasped. But after calming down a bit, I realized they were covered in blood. She was about to say something, but my parents arrived with a rogue that was missing an arm in my dad's mouth.
"The prick that pulled Sophie's hair." I heard Jayden growl and violently tear the rogue's right leg. His dad then stopped him with all his might since I sensed Jayden's wolf was now in control, so pissed that her little sister was harmed. They dragged the rogue's almost-dead body to an interrogation room, and we followed since Alpha Daniel warned me to go with them. I also saw a lifeless rogue body there; it reeks of blood and wolf's bane, with his arms, legs, and even neck tied up with silver cuffs and chains. My jaw honestly dropped. They did this just because Addison was hurt? For a second, I was afraid, but Luke chuckled and even said I deserved to be punished like this too. I push him back deeper in my mind so that he can't bother me anymore. He cursed at me first before his voice finally faded away.
We saw the three of them torture the rogue, who was missing limbs, under the pretense of interrogation. They weren't even asking questions anymore, as they just had fun hearing the screams and begs of the poor unfortunate rogue. It was hard to watch for some, as I sensed some of the warrior wolf guards looking away, but it was exhilarating for me.
"They deserved it. They hurt mate." I heard Luke's voice surface again as he growled, and oddly enough, I agreed with him.
My heart started to pound again, and I glanced at the door leading outside. I was about to head out, but I felt mom and dad's hands on my shoulders. Jayden noticed us first and immediately ran outside, followed by Alpha Daniel and Luna Anna.
"Your mini-punishment for now." Mom winked at me.
"That is indeed an agonizing one, dear." Dad chuckled.
I should not know what they are talking about, but I do. I am on my wit's end; for the first time, I want to fight both of them just so I can escape their grasp. But I know I cannot do that to my parents, and even if I truly lose my mind and fight them head-on, I will still lose. I am still not the Alpha of the pack, and I don't have a Luna by my side, since an Alpha is stronger with his Luna.
"Yeah, because you rejected her, you dumbass." Luke scoffed at me, agonizing in pain as each second passed by. The fact that I could not see or smell her scent was more than torture; I'd rather be cuffed with silver chains and drink wolf's bane than this. Since both the rogue's blood and the wolf's bane surrounded the room, it was even harder for me to breathe, to be able to smell her scent upstairs. But I can still sense her from afar, and I was glad to feel that she is now okay.
After awhile, my parents let go of me, and I ran on reflex, like a dog that hasn't been fed for weeks. I arrived at her room, seeing her parents covering each other, and I immediately cursed as I saw her naked body.
The natural color of her skin shines as the sunset glides throughout her perfectly shaped figure. Without thinking, I am now in front of her. Her small and petite physique is now completely covered by my whole body. Her mounds are so well endowed and round that it looks like they were flawlessly carved carefully to fit with her curvy hips. She renders me breathless, and it takes all in me to stop myself from claiming her to be mine.
"Regretting your decision now?" Luke sneered, and it was like a slap for me to wake up in reality when Addison suddenly yelled at the top of her lungs.
"What the fuck are you doing here, Carter?" she huffed, but instead of being offended, I instead found her cute.
Johanis’ POVThe first thing I hear that morning is the familiar thrum of Lily’s breathing. Mind you she's in her own room.It was not soft. Not peaceful.Just… steady. Determined. Like she refuses to die simply to spite the universe that tried to take her. Countless of times in fact. It’s ridiculous how comforting it is—even after ten years.I roll my shoulders as I step out onto the balcony outside my room in the mansion. The pack lands stretch below—wide forests, rolling fields, the faint silhouettes of wolves on patrol. The air tastes like pine. Clean. Quiet.Deceptive.Because beneath everything, I feel the same old hum—the same faint pull under my skin that I’ve lived with since I was eleven. The night the shadows came. The night they took something from us… and left something behind.“Johaaaaaa!” a voice yells from inside my room. “Wake up! We’re late!”I don’t even need to turn around.Only one person yells my name like it’s a threat.Lily..She bursts into the balcony with all
Johanis' POVThe moment the warm presence in my chest faded, it left behind an empty feeling—like someone had gently closed a door I didn’t know was open. The mysterious voice didn’t come back. Not when my breath steadied. Not when the trembling in my hands stopped. Not when my heart slowly shifted from panic to something softer—something aching and hollow. It was gone.Just… gone. But Lily—Her breathing, at least, began to even out.I crawled closer, swallowing hard as Mama wiped sweat from her forehead. Lily’s tiny chest rose and fell in shallow but steady waves now, instead of the frantic gasping from earlier. Her eyelashes fluttered, though she wasn’t fully awake. Her lips parted as if she was trying to say something. But that black mark…The one carved into her shoulder like a burn under the skin…It didn’t fade.It didn’t retreat. It didn’t even stop pulsing.A slow, deep throb.Like a second heartbeat.Like something living inside her blood.I reached toward it before stopping
Johanis' POVLily’s scream was still echoing when her body went limp against me.“Lily? Lily!”Her head lolled forward, curls falling over her face. She shivered violently, tiny whimpers slipping from her lips. Her eyes weren’t fully closed—but they weren’t open either. Just half-lidded, fogged, unfocused, rolling back like she was being pulled somewhere I couldn’t reach.“No—no, no, stay awake for me please.”I pressed my forehead to hers, trying to steady her breathing—trying to steady mine. The black mark on her shoulder pulsed.Once.Twice.Like a heartbeat that didn’t belong to her.A cold wave shot down her arm each time, making her small body jolt like it was being shocked. Her breathing hitched. Then she sagged again, slipping into a dizzy daze.“Lily. Please.”My voice cracked. She didn’t answer. The shadows were moving.Slowly at first—like they were sniffing, tasting the air—but then all at once, they surged toward us, drawn by whatever that mark was doing to her.I didn’t
Johanis' POVThe moment Mama and Papa disappeared into the chaos outside, silence swallowed our house like a vacuum. Not peaceful silence. Not a sleepy one either. The kind of silence that comes before something terrible. The kind that squeezes your lungs until you forget how to breathe.Lily clung to my sleeve, curls messy and eyes huge. “J-Joha… what do we do?”I didn’t answer right away, because for the first time my brave sister is showing her weakness. My heartbeat was too loud—rushing in my ears like waves crashing again and again. Every instinct in my bones screamed danger, louder than anything I’d ever heard before. Maybe worse than Hollowroot. Worse than the corrupted guardians. Worse than the nightmares that followed us for weeks. And it wasn’t just fear.It felt like something was telling us something..I swallowed hard and squeezed Lily’s hand. “First, we try to reach the others. Aya is closest to the border side. She’ll know what happened.”Lily nodded shakily. “Okay… oka
Johanis’ POVThey thought we didn't notice it.Just because we are young and naïve and innocent. But we do…Especially me.Adults forget that we’ve already survived things pups our age shouldn’t ever have. Monsters in the night. Corrupted beasts and spirits crawling from the earth. The way the air trembled when Hollowroot took its last breath. The pack still laughs and ruffles our hair and calls us kids, but sometimes—sometimes—I watch their eyes drift to the tree line with fear they try to swallow. And now… there’s something new.A rumor they whisper when they think we were asleep.A demon escaped from the doorway in the Demon’s Den.And it wasn’t just any demon..They say it might be the prince.I don’t know what a demon prince looks like. I don’t know why he’d be here. But I know one thing:Whenever Mama and Papa think no one is watching, their faces tighten the same way they did before all the corrupted creatures came. And that means danger.Which means my little sister needs wat
Lily’s POVI swear Brinn’s favorite hobby is annoying me.He just stood there with his stupid grin, flexing like he was already alpha of the entire pack (which is kinda impossible! Hmpp!), and said, “You’ll break like a stick, young mistress.”Excuse me?Six years old is practically grown! I can brush my own hair now. Sometimes. And I only trip over my boots, like… three times a day!!!That’s basically adult level coordination. So obviously, I launched myself at him.Brinn yelped and stumbled back, which was already victory enough for me, but then we both rolled into the dust. I clung to him like burrs on fur, yelling, “Take that, musclehead!”Behind me, I heard Joha groaning like the world’s most exhausted older brother. “Please at least don’t break her bones, Brinn. I don’t want to explain to Mama again why Lily has grass stains on her face.”Aya—oh, Aya—laughed. Actually laughed. And let me tell you, when she laughs, it’s not soft or pretty. It’s sharp, like a bark, but it still ma
Hans’ POV The moment Jhoanna told me about Hannah, I instantly wolfed out mid-game. Rio immediately understood as he took over as vice captain and let someone else sub in my stead. Could go over to the men’s volleyball team since Samuel’s their captain, but I don’t have time right now, so I just min
Jhoanna’s POVWeeks later, the cozy warmth of that night felt like a distant memory as I curled up in bed, my body betraying me with relentless weakness. I had always dreaded this part of being a wolf—my damned heat. It was a time when my body turned against me, leaving me feverish and aching, ever
Hans’ POVThe faintest knock on the door snapped me out of my thoughts. My heart leaped, hope surging irrationally. But when the door creaked open, it wasn’t my Jhoanna standing there. It was one of the younger wolf guards, looking nervous as he stepped inside.‘Look. Now the youngins are afraid b
Jhoanna’s POV“Bye Mom. Dad.” Samuel and I said as we hugged them both.“Take care and have fun, both of you,” Mom pouted. Still sulking about the fact that it’s unfair for her to have her son spend time at the dormitories for two years. She can really be petty at times.I drove dad’s car. Fast. So fas
