"Alpha," one of the men said in greeting and the rest of them quickly transformed back into their human sefves. Ivone's eyes shot open and she looked up, her tears only rushed out more when she saw Triston standing over them. He fixed a stern and angry gaze on her, she was not surprised that he did not recognise her, they barely had a good look at eachother last night.

The man who had spoken to her first approached Triston humbly with his head bowed low, "Nothing that should worry you, Alpha..."

"This is my territory, everything that happens within it should worry me," Triston said sternly and then he growled, "What the hell is going on here?!"

"The girl," the man started and pointed down at her, "Was caught trying to sneak into Elyria, or rather, was trying to sneak out after stealing from you."

"Stealing from me? This girl never came close to me," Triston frowned in confusion, "Who are you again? and why are the rest still in their wolf forms?"

"Betas," Jaxon answered the question a

Reyes’s teeth found his injured shoulder, the very spot where the poisoned arrow had once sunk deep. Triston let out a howl of pain as the bite tore into old wounds, his front leg buckling slightly. Blood bloomed fast and thick over his fur. The Nyxorian Alpha didn’t relent. He tore again, shaking his head like a predator trying to rip a limb from bone. Triston’s body slammed into the earth, a snarl of fury ripped from his throat. Reyes loomed, dominance momentarily flashing in his coal-black eyes. But he had underestimated the fire in his opponent. He stepped in for the final strike— And Triston surged. With a primal roar, the Elyrian Alpha twisted, hind legs digging into the dirt, and launched upward. His jaws closed around Reyes’s throat—not deep enough to kill, but enough to lift and slam him sideways. Reyes hit the ground hard. Triston followed, claws raking over his ribs, driving him back with a series of savage, precise bites. He was no longer fighting just to win. He was fig

  • Wolf's Bane: Moonlit Forbidden   Two Alphas

The scorched remains of the second Nyxorian village still whispered with heat, blackened skeletal beams jutting from ashen rubble like charred bones. Smoke curled upward into the sky, thick with the stench of fire, iron, blood, and vengeance. Triston sat atop his black warhorse at the front lines, his figure carved in steel and wrath, He didn’t move, save for the slight rise and fall of his chest, each breath a restraint, each exhale a promise. His eyes, narrowed and locked on the horizon, burned with purpose. The sunlight slanted across his bare forearms, his sleeves rolled up, revealing the faded bandages that still hugged his right shoulder. The wound left by the poisoned arrow had not yet fully healed and though the pain still haunted the joint where the poisoned arrow had once lodged, he held the reins without flinching, his fingers curled firmly around it, steady despite the occasional tremor he no longer acknowledged, his grip unwavering, showing no sign of weakness. His right

Zina’s face twisted in rage as Ivone walked past her. The laughter—the relief—stabbed at her like a blade to the gut. In her mind, it wasn’t relief for Triston’s life. It was celebration for Nyxoria’s ruin. For Reyes’ humiliation. For her downfall. And Zina couldn’t bear it. “He's coming for you?” she snapped, spinning on her heel. “You traitorous little rat—you’re laughing while Elyria lays siege to our land?” Ivone stopped short, turning just enough to glance back, her brows furrowed in confusion. “What—?” “You heard me!” Zina shrieked, her voice echoing down the corridor. “You’re one of them. An Elyrian spy!” Without another moment’s hesitation, Zina lunged. Her nails clawed into Ivone’s arm as she yanked her back. Caught off guard, Ivone stumbled, trying to wrench herself free. “Let go of me!” she barked. “Zina, you’re losing your mind—Reyes himself invited me here!” But Zina was already yelling over her. “Guards!” she screamed, voice sharp and commanding. “Guards! Arrest th

Ivone sat cross-legged on the edge of her bed, scrolls scattered across the duvet in a mess of faded ink and brittle parchment. Her brow was furrowed in concentration as her eyes scanned the lineages and war treaties laid out in the fragile Nyxorian script. So much of it still didn’t make sense—the names, the secrets, the deliberate omissions. She was just about to cross-reference a note on Annora Valtor when the sudden, echoing blast of a war horn shattered the silence. She jerked upright, startled. Another horn followed—louder, angrier. She dropped the scroll she’d been reading and rushed to the balcony, flinging the doors open just as the chaos below unfolded. The Nyxorian courtyard, once orderly and composed, was now a storm of motion. Servants scurried like frightened birds, shouting over one another as they tried to stay out of the soldiers’ path. Horses were being led out of the stables at breakneck speed, weapons hauled out of armories, and the castle guard scrambled into ra

“Zina!” Rhea's calm demeanor snapped, and she stood up abruptly her movements swift and decisive, catching her daughter by the arm and pulling her to sit beside her on the edge of the bed. “You need to breathe. Stressing like this isn’t good for the baby, do you understand? Sit. Breathe. Then talk to me.” Zina sat, but her body betrayed her tension, her knee bouncing with nervous energy, like a piston, her fingers twisting and untwisting in her lap, clenched, then opened again. Rhea's gaze narrowed as she studied her closely, her expression a mixture of concern and growing suspicion. She studied Zina's face, her eyes searching for clues, her expression a mask of calm inquiry. "What have you done, Zina?" she asked, her voice her voice soft but probing, her eyes piercing, searching for answers. “Is it Ivone?” she asked pointedly. “Is she the one making you like this again?” Zina shook her head almost violently. “No. Not… not exactly.” Rhea’s brows drew together. “Then what is it?”

  • Wolf's Bane: Moonlit Forbidden   Restless

The chariot's golden wheels screeched to a halt on the worn stone steps of the Nyxorian castle, the sound echoing through the morning air. Rhea stepped down, her movements fluid and effortless, exuding confidence and poise, like a queen descending from her throne. Her cloak, a rich bronze hue that seemed to shimmer and glow in the morning light, billowed behind her like a cloud, and the smile that curved her lips was as polished as the gold clasp at her throat."Lady Rhea," A guard murmured, recognizing her instantly, and bowed low before extending an arm in a gesture of respect, to lead her. “Lady Rhea. Lady Zina is expecting you.”“She should be,” Rhea said, her voice like music, her eyes glinting with amusement, a hint of anticipation that seemed to dance in their depths. "I came as soon as I heard.”The guard's expression remained neutral, but his eyes flicked to hers, a fleeting moment of curiosity crossing his face. He led her through the castle's grand entrance, the doors swing
