The first thing Victoria did when she got home was change into comfortable clothes.

By the time she settled down, the sky was dark outside.

She took out her phone from her bag.

It had run out of battery at some point and turned off automatically.

She plugged it in.

As soon as she turned on the phone, it began vibrating relentlessly.

She had several missed calls. Most of them were from Colette. There were some text messages too.

Victoria didn't need to open them to know what they had sent her. Uninterested, she put down her phone and flopped onto the sofa, turning on the TV.

Not long after, her phone began ringing.

Victoria glanced at the caller ID. She smiled before picking up. She put the call on speakerphone. "Mr. Langley, to what do I owe this honor?"
