Chapter 13: Emanuel and the treaty

I took Anna out for our daily walk around the territory, She was bubbling and gaggling happily as I conversed with a few pack members that were curious and worried about Octavia's condition after Ruby put her on bed rest a few days ago. Now we all have shifts to take care of her and give her company.

I walked to the lake, a picnic area where a lot of teenage wolves and families went too, socializing was a big part of the pack to create a close bond, and exposing Anna to more people would help her in the future went she took over the pack.

I settled us on the ground and placed her on the ground as she watched a few shifted wolves shift and jump in the play in the water. I smiled at the scene and took a deep calming breath when I smelt that citrus ice scent. I turned in the direction of the smell and raised my brows in surprise as I saw Emanuel relaxing on the tree, staring at me and Anna while he ate an apple casually.

I blinked rapidly wondering if I was imagining it when I realiz
