He hadn’t been invited to sit in on many meetings, and he honestly preferred it that way. It created less of an affiliation role for him. Today was different though. He walked into the back room and stood in front of the only empty chair.

“Did he say anything?” Bandit’s voice was low, but he had no problem hearing him in the quiet of the room.

“He’s not going to talk, at least not to me.”

“What do you want to do, Wrath?” Nitro was to the point, and he knew he had to do it.

“I’m not involving you, any of you,” he said, looking pointedly at everyone in the room. “I’d like to keep using the basement, but I can move our friend if I have to.”

Bandit frowned. “What the fuck are you talking about? Of course, we’re going to help you. Patched or not, you’re one of us, Wrath.”

Jake shook his head. “What else is bothering you, Bandit? You didn’t call church just because the Stalkers took my property.”

“The Reapers took out half of the Dogs last night. Buzzer’s asking for help,” K-9 said.
