Chapter 9

Rosetta's POV

"Do what you want." I irritably turned my back on him and quickly left the room.

Even now, my face is still hot with embarrassment because of what he said.

Seriously? Is that really Nicholas? Oh my God! He always teases me as if I'm going to give in to his flirtatious advances.

I shook my head as I walked back to the living area. I'd rather hang out there than in the room with that flirtatious Nicholas.

To be honest, he's not usually like this. I prefer it when he's cold and surly toward me rather than sweet and flirty. The Nicholas I've known isn't sweet as sugar.

I sat down on the long sofa and reached for the magazine on the center table. I lay down and started reading the contents of the magazine; it was a Vogue magazine.

I was busy reading when Nicholas called me from upstairs.

"Rosetta..."

What does this man want now?

I annoyedly got up from the sofa and went upstairs. I saw Nicholas standing in the hallway, holding my cell phone.
