I was taken aback when I learned that James had a twin, but to tell you the truth, this has altered the way I feel about James. When I found out that he didn't attend the engagement party and that he planned to end his relationship with my mother so that he could be with me for the rest of his life, I was taken aback.

James was the only person besides him with whom I had ever experienced such genuine feelings.

I felt a sense of relief because he not only rescued me from the unclean hands of his twin brother, but he also told me that he would marry me, and at that point, I was prepared to spend the rest of my life with him.

Especially considering that he would put an end to this strange circumstance by allowing my mother to marry his brother.
