Chapter 435

Neither Henry nor Angel spoke. Mrs. Lawson could not get in a word. The atmosphere in the house was a little awkward.

Angel finished the pierogi on her plate and wiped her mouth with a tissue.

“Are you full yet?” Henry asked.

“Yes, Daddy. I want to go to the office with you today,” she said, nodding.

“Sure.” He smiled, as if he already knew she wanted to go, so he did not ask why.

There were some pierogi left after he finished breakfast. Angel asked Mrs. Lawson to pack it up; she said it was delicious and wanted to bring it to the office so she could eat it when she was hungry.
