Chapter 93 Past regrets

Rose's pov.

I was working to get my mind off Meera when I received a call from the receptionist downstairs. "Hello?"

"Madam, there's a woman here who insists she's your mother and wants to see you urgently," the receptionist informed hesitantly. "Should I send her to you?"

I frowned, unable to believe her. I hadn't seen or spoken to my mother in months. After our relationship soured because of her stubbornness of not leaving my abusive father, I forced myself to leave her own fate. Last time, when she came to meet me, it was to beg me to ask Lorcan to let him know what he did in the press conference.

I am worried about what she is doing here today.

"Please let her in," I instructed her. My chest suddenly tightened. I don't know why after being ignored by her I still feel responsible towards her for all the time she had been there to save me from my father's beatings despite her own past pain.
