I turned in bed and reached out to the other side of the bed where Darren laid, only to discover it was empty.

I scratched the back of my head. I didn't like it in the movies whenever after a passionate night, the woman wakes up to an empty bed.

I looked around to check if he was in the room, but he wasn't. I listened carefully to hear the sound of rushing water from the bathroom, but I didn't hear anything.

He wasn't in the room. I was disappointed.

I threw my legs down from the bed, put on my slippers and made for the bathroom. I had already placed my hand on the bathroom door knob, when I heard the door of my room click.

I quickly left the bathroom door and scampered my way around and jumped back into the bed. I landed roughly on my left hand and it hurt really bad.

I pretended to be asleep. I knew it was Darren coming in. He was the only one with the full authorization to enter my room without knocking.

The door creaked open slowly and closed with a loud bang.
