Nikki
I was too exhausted to go to work but I owed it to living my life that way everyday. I stood up from bed and walked to the mirror to check my forehead out. Luckily, the size of the wound had calmed a bit and I admittedly felt a lot better.
I wondered how Chad would react to my presence at work or if he would even talk to me. I knew if he kept up with things in that manner, it would only be a matter of time before he sent me packing.
