"Calm down girl, just take it as she has gotten too deep and fallen beyond redemption for Shane," I said whilst calming Mare down. Naturally, I should be the one to feel hurt the most because this is my place, not Mara's and I didn't have any issues with her so why would she just leave the house just like that? It was as if she had been planning to leave for a while now.

"You don't have to be angry, checking from her behavior it seems like she has been planning to leave for a while now, and if my guess is correct she is correctly in the house of the person she was chatting with when we were having the meal earlier. And how she suddenly left proved it. So you now see what I'm trying to say. Her departure wasn't necessary because of you" I said and Mara suddenly realized it. "What you said is correct because a decision like this can't be made up in a minute and executed in the next minute, but why? You have been good to her, you have been good to us.
