Third POV

Derek kissed her neck slowly. He moved his lips to her jaw as he tightened his hand around her waist, pressing their bodies together.

Rachael had many questions running wild in her head. Like, why was there a man in her room? Why was he kissing her? Did Mrs. Valeria set her up with a man to punish her?

No! She can't watch this man take advantage of her, but what if Mrs. Valeria grew angrier than before? They might just finally end her miserable life.

"Wait," she said, trying to push him off her. Derek pulled back, surprised by the sweet voice he just heard.

He had to admit that the voice made him needy for more, and in no time he started kissing her again. He kissed her jaw and stopped when their lips were just a breath away.

Derek knew just by looking at her and kissing her skin that she wasn't the girl he was looking for, and he couldn't care anymore since this girl made him addicted to her scent. Her voice also made him imagine her beneath him in the bed behind her.

Rachael saw this as an opportunity to ask him to stop and go away. "Look, I don't know how much you paid, but-"

She was still speaking when he cut off by slamming his lips on hers. She pushed on his chest, but Derek drew her closer and bit her lips. He walked forward while she stepped backwards until the back of her legs hit the bed, and she fell softly on the soft bed with Derek on top of her.

Their lips were still locked, and he pressed their bodies together, pulling her closer with the hand still wrapped around her waist. His other hand caressed the exposed skin of her waist gently. Rachael was already tired of pushing him. He was no different from a hard rock that refused to budge. He bit her bottom lip, and she opened her mouth to shriek, but he took the opportunity to expertly slide his tongue into her mouth.

She was so addictive. After a while, he pulled back for her to breathe.

Taking short breaths, she inquired directly. "What do you want from me? I don't agree to this, and you can't force-" she was still talking when he captured her lips again.

He wondered why she was pushing him away when he could feel her hard nipples as they pressed against his chest. Rachael's legs dug into the sheets and she clutched the sheets. She moaned into his mouth when he kissed her deeply, with his tongue exploring her mouth.

She wasn't kissing him back, but he didn't care, he just wanted her under him. It felt like that was where she was meant to be, under him, that was precisely where she belonged.

Rachael, who was getting lost in the heat immediately, snapped back to reality when his hand went to grasp her butt, reminding that she was in pain. As if getting the strength from somewhere, she pushed him away, separating them successfully, and did something she never thought she could.

She slapped him across the face. It was as if the world around them stopped, and it was just the two of them staring at each other in the dim room.

Derek leaned down with their faces just an itch apart.

"I'm not certain how long you've been here, but I'm glad to inform you that you just made a big mistake, and you've earned yourself an enemy for slapping the devil." He relayed and got off her.

Rachael found it difficult to breathe. His voice was damn scary and she couldn't imagine his face. He seemed serious and she wanted to go after him and apologize, but her feet felt numb.

She prayed that this mysterious man would forgive and forget her. Her sanity came back, and she snapped at her for being silly, the man clearly took advantage of her. He tried to assault her against her will.

Never, she'll never stoop so low and beg that man after what he tried to do to her.

---

Derek was enraged. He walked back to the manager's office.

"Fire the girl," he commanded.

"Fire who sir?"

"Who else?" He asked with a deep voice that made the manager tremble.

He wasn't being specific, and he completely forgot that the girl he met was different from the girl he came looking for.

"O… Okay sir," she nodded without asking questions this time.

Derek walked out of the room. He saw his assistant at the door.

"Boss?"

"Let's go," he answered coldly.

Inside the car, his assistant informed him about the meeting he rescheduled because of Mr. Arnold's sudden request for celebration.

They got to the venue and everyone who set eyes on him trembled in fear. The surrounding air was colder than usual. He looked like the devil on normal occasions with a frown on his face, but now he had that cold look like he was about to rain hell on them and turn the earth upside down.

He sat down behind the short part of the long table. His leg was crossed over the other leg, and his eyes coldly moved around the meeting room.

They started the meeting immediately.

"The border will be closing on the 1st of next month," a member informed.

"If the border closes, then we can kiss our chances of getting the goods exported early goodbye," another member said.

"We can still give out more goods before they close the border, I'm sure we can," another said, trying to stay optimistic.

"Come on, Mr. Lee, how many goods do you think we can export before the 1st of next month? We have budgets on the ground and this would only slow us down. What would our clients say once we fail to keep to the agreement?"

"But we can't do anything about it. I mean… They must have heard the news as well." He said.

"You think they care? Look, just like every business minded person, they only care for themselves."

"Not all of them," the man disagreed.

"Show me anyone who isn't."

"So what should we do then?" He asked, finally giving up being optimistic.

Derek shook his head. People constantly change from being optimistic to being pessimistic.

"We can only compensate them for the delay."

"Boss, what should we do?" Finally, they were leaving the ball in his court.

His eyes looked at her without saying anything for a while.

"Smuggle the goods," he finally said with a serious voice.

I'm sorry I came unannounced,” he said apologetically, causing the man's lips to rise with a smile.“Oh please, don't even try to act all prim and proper with me because I know you had the time to reach out to me, but you chose the latter because you know we won't mind the sudden visit,” the man said with a pout. The woman chuckled while Daniel just stared unresponsive at the man. Her gaze shifted to Regina and her brows raised curiously. “And wh

Breakfast has been served. The boss is waiting for you in the dining room,” the maid said after opening the door. She quickly left, leaving Regina and Isabel stunned.“The boss wants to have breakfast with you? Wow! it seems like the both of you woke up on the right side of the bed today. Well, I'm done already so you don't have to keep him waiting,” she said, taking a few steps back. Regina stood up from the seat and stared at her reflection closely. She loved it and t

Either way, she was anxiously waiting for his response. She couldn't help but keep falling for him, even when she knew it was a bad idea to fall for him. He had hurt her several times and even made her feel worthless a couple of times, but deep down she had been fighting that unwanted feeling that seemed to grow with each sign of affection he showed. She was scared every time, wondering what would happen once that feeling blossomed. She was dreadfully anticipating it. And now that he mentioned how badly he treated her and the fact that he wanted to change because of her, was a shocker to her.She wondered if he would really change for her like he had said earlier, or if it was another trap laid out in front of her, and she was being oblivious to it.Daniel cleared his throat after absorbing the shock he just received from her. “I've broken the rules c

Third POV “Daniel,” she gasped, staring deeply into his bloodshot eyes. He took a step towards her while she stood there unmoving. The cold wind gushed on her fragile skin, causing her to shiver involuntarily. He stood just a breath away from her with his eyes piercing into her soul. “Where are you going?” He asked with a blank face. “Follow me,” he mumbled underneath his breath, then turned around without waiting for her to reply or glancing back to see if she was actually following behind him.Regina watched his back as he continued to stalk further away from her. Did he really expect her to follow him? Should she follow him? She thought, and just then the sound of something unknown walking around the wood startled her. Looking at the surrounding darkness, she could only swallow in fear before contemplatively going after Daniel. If she indeed had a chance to escape, then she would take it but looking around her surroundings, there was this odd feeling that if she went any further

Daniel groaned in satisfaction, then suddenly pulled away. He caught his lower lip between his teeth and slowly released it with his eyes looking down at her. Regina was so lost in his eyes that she paid no attention to what he was doing. He leaned down again, aligning their body intimately. He could feel the hate that resonated through her as she stared sharply at him with tears filled eyes.He hated the hateful look in her eyes as she looked at him like a carnivorous beast that was out to get her. Her fingers dug into his chest in fear. He growled at her expression, remembering the joyful and sweet look she passed the man at the party, but when it came down to him, she looked at him indifferently. Her hate was the last thing she would ever put aside and even though he had tried in the past to change her mindset, she still viewed him with contempt, and he knew he would never change her view of him.He was done trying.
