Third POV

Regina's eyes widened, sensing the threat coming from him. She panicked while looking around for an escape, but he drew her close to him. “You can't possibly escape from me,” he drawled with a dark gaze. “If you want your people to have a good life, then I suggest you do as I say. Remember the implications if you don't,” he voiced out, leaving her speechless.

She blinked her eyes in disbelief. “Why? What would you do to me if I disagree? Would you hurt my people?” She asked, still trembling as the atmosphere intensified. She could sense the danger and the warning signs around him. She swallowed the lump in her throat as her eyes welled up with tears. “Or do you plan to kill me, just like they suggested?” She clenched her fist in anger and anguish caused by the strong grip on her arm.

He stared at her with an expressionless face, and she had zero hopes of getting any response from him. However, he stunned her with his unexpected reply. “I don't think you understand me yet. A

Regina's POV I gently placed Ryan in his crib, making sure he was secure and comfortable before I made my way downstairs. The commotion was getting louder, and I could tell that Vivian had arrived. I had been expecting her, courtesy of a heads-up from our security team.A sly smile spread across my face as I thought about the surprise that awaited Vivian. She was under the impression that Derek was still here, and I couldn't wait to see her reaction when she realized he was gone.As I descended the stairs, Vivian's voice grew louder, her words becoming more urgent and shrill. "Derek, come out here! I know you're hiding from me!" she shouted.I reached the bottom of the stairs and paused for a moment, savoring the anticipation. Vivian was in for a rude awakening, and I was eager to see her reaction. With a calm and collected demeanor, I was ready to face Vivian and deliver the news that would surely leave her reeling.I cleared my throat, announcing my presence, and Vivian's eyes snap

Third POV "What do you mean the stock is still plummeting?!" Vivian shouted into the phone, her voice echoing through the room. "Fix it! Fix it now! It's been two days since our numbers started tanking, and I'm not about to lose my company because of your incompetence!"Vivian's hand ran frantically through her hair as she paced back and forth in front of her desk. She looked like a mess, her usually polished demeanor replaced by a frantic, disheveled appearance."Listen, I don't care what it takes," she continued, her voice rising in urgency. "I want those numbers back up, and I want them back up now. Make it happen. Do whatever it takes. I'm not going to let this company suffer because of your mistakes."Vivian ended the call and slumped down in her seat, letting out a frustrated groan. She rubbed her temples, feeling a headache coming on. She was on the verge of losing her company, and she knew she'd never be able to recover from this fall. She had two options, and the first one w

Regina's POV I walked into the conference room, my heels clicking on the polished floor. I was greeted by the familiar faces of the board members, all of whom were already seated and waiting for me.Taking my seat at the head of the table, my eyes scanning the room as I asked, "So, what's the update? What have we got to discuss today?"I had been looking forward to this meeting all morning, eager to dive into the latest developments and make some key decisions. But my mind kept wandering back to Williams and the fact that he hadn't come forward with a confession yet.I had given him a clear ultimatum, and I expected him to comply. But so far, I hadn't heard a peep from him. And to make matters worse, I hadn't received any word from Daniel about passing the project to him either.Pushing the thoughts aside, focusing on the task at hand. I had a meeting to lead, and I needed to stay sharp. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off, that Williams was planning somethin

Regina's POV I leaned forward, my eyes locked on Williams'. "You're right, of course," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "Everyone does have a skeleton in their closet. But the difference between us, Williams, is that the skeletons in your closet are no longer hidden. They're out in the open, for everyone to see."Williams' expression darkened, but I pressed on, changing the subject. "I came here for business, Williams. And I'm going to be straightforward with you. I want you to confess your crimes before it's too late."Williams laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "You're too naive, Regina," he said, shaking his head. "I didn't expect that from you. You think I'm just going to roll over and confess? I think not."I became serious, my expression stern. I dropped the brown file on his table, and Williams' eyes narrowed as he slowly reached for it, a frown etched on his face."What's this?" he asked, his voice cautious.I smiled, a cold, calculated smile. "Just a little something I

Regina's POV “What did you find?” I asked, looking at the security guard standing in front of me with his head slightly down. He nodded and finally gave me everything in detail. “This contains all his dealings, including his activities so far. The man had been watchful, and it was really difficult to gather so much evidence against him, but we managed to find some that might be useful or can earn a meeting with him,” the guard passed a file in a brown envelope to me. I grabbed it with a frown, but when I opened the file, I saw photos inside. Somewhere during his meetings with people who looked untrustworthy. He seemed very cautious in the photo, almost as if he were making sure no one was present. “The men in those photos were known to be associated with Mafias. Whatever his business with him was, I believe it's something you can pin on him.” Although he was sharp, he wasn't as experienced as Peter who assigned him to me. But I believed Peter's judgement.I sat in stunned silence

Daniel's POVAs I arrived at the venue, I spotted Claudia Wilson sitting elegantly in the corner, sipping a glass of water. She was even more stunning than I had remembered, her classy dress accentuating her refined features. I felt a brief moment of contemplation, but I quickly composed myself and approached her."Claudia, it's great to see you again," I said, extending my hand. She smiled warmly and took my hand in a firm handshake. "Daniel, it's lovely to see you too. Please, have a seat."I apologized for keeping her waiting, but she waved me off graciously. "Not at all, Daniel. I'm just glad we could reschedule. I'll have some white wine, please," she said to the waiter, who nodded and scurried off.I turned my attention back to Claudia. "So, what's the business you wanted to propose?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.Claudia leaned forward, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "I'd like to propose that we work together on a new project," she said, her voice confident and persuasive.
