Su Kexin could not remember how she took a cab back to the manor.

The entire way, Mimi's voice just reverberated in her mind—

How could he be back? Why was he back…?

He left so decisively back then, without even a word of goodbye. So why was he back now?

Su Kexin was about to call Gu Chi down for breakfast, but as soon as she walked out of the kitchen, she saw Gu Chi emerge from the elevator.

Although the house only had two floors, they still had an elevator installed to accommodate Gu Chi's disability.

Su Kexin was about to say "we can eat now" when she saw Gu Chi suddenly raise something in his hand. He said somewhat awkwardly, "Do you have a battery?"
