A second later, Liam stormed over. He helped Victoria to her feet, scooped the baby up from the floor, then turned and slapped me hard across the face.

"Natalie, have you lost your mind? You're jealous because Victoria had my baby, so you took it out on him?" he snapped.

My face hardened. Without hesitation, I slapped him right back. "I didn't drop the baby. Victoria did it herself to frame me. And I have nothing to be jealous of because that child isn't even yours!"
