Not a honeymoon

“Ah…” 

Eryna opened her eyes because of stinging pain in her arm, she tried to sit up but just as she pressed her hand on the bed to get up, a harsh surging current of pain moved through her arm. She fell back onto the pillow.

“Haah...Haah,” she breathed heavily because of the pain.

“What happened to me? Did someone beat me up when I was asleep?” 

She lifted her hand a bit and glanced at it, her right hand was bandaged, and now the white bandage had a red stain on it.

“I have to stop passing out just everywhere!” Eryna placed the other hand on her forehead and stared at the ceiling hopelessly.

 The sun was setting and the room had a dim light entering through the open curtains, Her mind wandered back to the morning incident, and Micah loathing gaze flashed before her eyes, She new the feeling in his eyes, he seemed like he was abandoned as if he had been hurt, Eryna felt sad for him.

“Sigh...Father, how many lives are you planning to ruin? First, it was mother than me, then Renya, and now him? Haa...I wish I could just ruin you,” Her words after the pause were filled with hatred.

The door to her room opened slowly, she slightly lifted her head to see who it was. The butler had walked in quietly holding a tray of food, his gaze met Eryna’s, and his face brightened up.

“Miss you are up!”

“Yes, I did just a while ago…”

How are you feeling now?” the butler asked.

 “Great otherwise, but can you tell me how this happened?” She lifted her hand asked with a pouting face.

“Miss this morning when you passed out, you accidentally pushed a vase and fell on its broken pieces…” he looked at her with a sympathetic gaze.

“Ha, that’s an odd way of getting hurt,” Eryna laughed lightly. “Anyways...Uncle Shaun could you give me a hand please, I can’t get up on my own,” She asked.

“Sure Miss,” He placed the tray on the table and came close to her, He helped her sit and moved back a few steps.

“If you want I can send a maid to help you eat,” He spoke while staring at her crippled right hand.

“That would be a lot of help if you do that,” Eryna gave him a warm smile,

The butler walked out of the room, and as the door closed the smiling face of Eryna turned blank. She looked at her cellphone at her bedside.

“I miss Simba...AGH!! I want to pinch his puffy cheeks,” Eryna lightly kicked the air and pouted.

“Miss! May I enter?” A sweet voice interrupted Eryna and she glanced back at the person who had just knocked on the door.

“Yes, yes! Come in,” 

“Miss I will be helping you with the food, As you have injured your hand,” She spoke softly, her face had a beautiful smile,

“I will have to trouble you for this, I have wounded my hand,” Eryna replied with a giggle as she pointed at her arm.

“Miss you don’t have to be sorry for it, we are here to help you out,” She responded professionally.

“So should we help you freshen up first?”

“We?”

Eryna looked at her with a daze.

*Clap, clap…

Just like a scene from a fantasy movie, at the sound of her clap four maids entered the room one by one, all of them had a smile on their face that made Eryna feel scared.

“Why so many?”

Eryna’s face had a weird expression on it.

“We will help you take a bath and prepare for you your trip with Young Master.”

And she smiled warmly but to Eryna she looked like a creepy witch.

‘Prepare me? What am I a sacrificial animal?’

Eryna thought.

“No need! I will do that by myself…” Eryna forces a smile and stood up.

‘I can bath by myself it’s not like I am fully crippled,’ 

Eryna glanced one last time at the maids and went into the washroom.

Soon Eryna realized that what she said outside was big talk and now she was suffering inside the bath, her bandage was all drenched and the soap had gotten into the wound, which caused pain in her hand. Her eyes teared up because of the pain.

‘Gaah! This mouth of mine…’

She screamed inwardly as she clenched her teeth.

The maids helped her with her food and opened the bandage, her hand was badly wounded. The cut was deep.

The maid bandaged it again before they left her alone.

She glanced at her cell phone and picked up to call Simba.

The phone rang and just like yesterday, he picked up quickly.

“Simba!! Its mommy! Did you miss me?” she spoke in excitement.

“Mommy...When will you come back?” Simba’s voice was hoarse, it sounded like he had cried.

“Simba? Is everything okay? Tell Mommy,”

Eryna got worried all of a sudden.

“I miss you, I want to see you,”

“Love! I know but can’t come now…” She felt his sadness through the phone and spoke again,” How about a video call?”

She said in an excited tone.

“Can I?”

“Sure you can. “

Eryna tried to cheer him up, They talked for a long time and Simba finally looked sleepy. Eryna stayed on the call until Simba fell asleep, She saw him peaceful close his eyes as his chubby cheeks rested on the soft pillow.

“When will I get a chance to meet him?” Eryna stared at the phone screen with a longing expression.

‘Agh!! Why? Can I not go? Like what if the news of the resort crashing down comes and we have to cancel this trip? Or what if there is a storm, no I mean what if something miraculous happens that we don’t have to go.’

Eryna stood before the main door hoping for something to happen that the trip gets canceled, but the car slowly approached her and her heart started racing.

“Aren’t you getting in?” She heard a stern voice from behind and without glancing at him she knew who it was.

“Sigh-I am” Eryna walked towards the car with a reluctant face.

The guards opened up the door for her and took a seat in the back of the luxurious car, soon Micah sat beside her in the back seat looking in the opposite direction with a repulsive look on his face. The Driver took a deep breath before he started the car.
