Chapter 23 They Said, That Shannon Is Dead

Sean panicked when he realized that her ward was empty.

His heart thumped with fright as if he had just lost something very important in his life. He looked around, not realizing that what was already lost could never be found again.

“Shannon!”

He dashed into the washroom, but it was empty. There was no sign of Shannon anywhere.

He went to every corner of the hospital but could not find her.

In a desperate attempt to locate her, he even looked into every security footage in the hospital, but there was no sign of her anywhere. She was determined to stay out of sight when she left the hospital, so no matter how hard he tried, he could never find her through the cameras.

“Find her! I don’t care how you do it, just find her!”

Sean bellowed into his phone. Sam answered very gingerly and agreed to send out more men to expand their search area. That was when the news came in.

They had found Shannon.

To be exact, it was her body that they had found, covered in a mass of bruises.
