You hear your daughter babble and decide to get the day going. You stretch before getting out of bed. On your way to your daughter's room, you realize that her babbling is not coming from her room but from the living room.

"Davide?" you choke out. 'I must be dreaming,' you tell yourself.

"Good morning. Glad to see you stuck around and didn't use my business trip to make a run for it again," Davide says casually.

"I thought you were dead," you manage, still wondering if you are dreaming.

"Dead?" he chuckles.

You fight the urge to fling yourself into his arms.

Don't worry princess, or is it, queen? Anyways, don't worry, he might not show it but he is happy to see you alive and well and still in love with you. Maybe even more than before he had the enchantress break the fated mate bond.

You wet your lips before speaking again. "I am making breakfast, would you like some?"

"I will get something on the way to work," he declines.

"I am on sick leave for a week," you say turning to the k
