The car ride is incredibly silent. Bastard didn’t look at me, didn’t speak to me, he basically ignored me. It’s kind of frustrating.

I mean I know I made a mistake, but as an omega, I can’t afford to be anything but cautious. Well of course he wouldn’t understand, he’s not an omega.

He just handed me the files and got into the car. At least he waited for me to get in before he drove off, I don’t know what I would have done if he just left me there. How would I even pass the checkpoints?.

It’s a far cry from yesterday’s car ride where he put in all his effort into trying to trick me that the Eiffel Tower was in the middle of Kyoto, like I’m an idiot that doesn’t know it is in Paris.

I almost fell for it.

And he bought a lot of snacks too, he gave me only one bag of chips. It was fine, I could tell he’s a junk addict. He should be huge with all that shit he ate yesterday.

The air in the car is so oppressive, I can’t tell if it’s his pheromones or if it’s just the mood. If he d

  • You’re Courting Me?!    EIGHTY-SEVEN|| All are Equal

    “Yo Sakura! There’s someone looking for you up front”. Sakura Hoshino looks up at the speaker. She stops beating the dough in her hands and tilts her head in contemplation. “Someone is looking for me?”. Sorahiko should be at work, with no hope of escape. She glances at the kitchen’s only clock. It’s barely past twelve. Who would come looking for her at this time?. “Yes, you! So drop that shit and come out”. His tone is not hostile. Just panicked. “Someone take over for her”. She’s never seen the alpha panic before. It’s an odd thing to see. She obediently leaves her station for one of her co-workers to take up her position. She doesn’t miss the way the manager sighs in relief. ‘If this is something dangerous, then I’m going to escape’. She vows to herself. ‘No matter what’. He leads her out of the kitchen and into the main service area. Sakura takes note of all the weird and curious glances she’s given by both her co-workers and customers alike. It leaves he

  • You’re Courting Me?!    EIGHTY-SIX|| That Was A Riddle?

    After that extraordinarily disastrous conversation earlier, Miyamura retired to his office. I had hoped not to see him until I clocked out for the day, but reality is not so kind. I had to go deliver documents to his office, draft memos for him for the next staff meeting, and get him coffee. As usual. Clearly, I am the only person feeling any aftereffects of embarrassment from our previous conversation. Well now, it’s lunchtime and I’m done drafting these damn memos— why the hell does every department have a different policy?. I’m done with this shit. Ah. I can’t wait to get to the cafeteria. It’s braised pork on the menu today. “Have lunch with me”. God help me. Miyamura stretches tiredly. His bleary gaze locks onto me with terrifying precision. “Let’s have lunch together”. No. I have to eat braised pork. I love braised pork. And I don’t want to eat with— “I’ll take you to a nice steakhouse”. “Yes sir, it would be my pleasure to eat with you”. What a wonderf

  • You’re Courting Me?!    EIGHTY-FIVE|| An Unexpected Challenge

    Sorahiko is zoning out. That’s weird. Miyamura is standing right in front of him, but the omega’s attention is elsewhere. He can’t accept this. ‘Is he that used to me? Or has my level of importance diminished in his eyes?’. Miyamura wonders to himself. Impossible. Nothing can be more important than him. Sorahiko looks up at him with vacant eyes, then lowers his gaze back to his desk. No amount of calling out to the omega makes him acknowledge him. Screw this. Miyamura slams his palms together with little force, but it’s enough to make Sorahiko look up at him with a painful wince. Good. ‘If he’s not going to listen to me, he should just lose his hearing’. He thinks vindictively. “What’s got you spacing out?”. Sorahiko glares at him like a rabid raccoon. It’s kind of cute. “I’ve been speaking to you for a while now”. The omega focuses on him for a moment, then his thoughts begin to drift. He continues to stare up at Miyamura with unseeing eyes. This damn ome

  • You’re Courting Me?!    EIGHTY-FOUR|| To Die From Shame

    “Sorahiko?“. ‘If he knows that we’ve met up, he’ll kill you’. “Hey…Sorahiko!”. Miyamura will kill me? Because I met up with Yukimura Rei? I won’t dare overestimate my level of importance, but isn’t that a bit too much? To jump straight to murder? Out of nowhere, a loud sound breaks my train of thought and almost shatters my eardrums. Miyamura is leaning over me with a disgruntled expression. His hands are still together from when he slammed his palms against each other to get my attention. This bastard almost deafened me. I nearly went deaf at twenty-four. “What’s got you spacing out?”. He eyes me curiously. “I’ve been speaking to you for a while now”. There it is again. A reminder of how unconventional Miyamura is as an alpha. He doesn’t even look the least bit offended that I’ve been ignoring him and wasting his time— I can’t even scent a hint of annoyance or anger from his pheromones. And yet, I can’t stop thinking about Rei. Her absolute certainty th

  • You’re Courting Me?!    EIGHTY-THREE|| Breadcrumbs Of Information

    “Who are you calling an idiot?”. Damn this snake. “Can’t you see that we don’t want anything to do with this?”. Rei sits there, blinking at me in fake innocence. “But you’re already involved”. “Are you some kind of parrot?”. She’s always going on about how ‘involved’ I am— Why does no one listen when I say that I would rather not be a part of anything? “You keep repeating the same shit”. I need to go to bed. It’s late. “It’s already gotten old”. God knows how tired I am of this shit. “That's not what I mean”. She says, her eyes narrowing. “I discovered this footage by accident. If anyone were to trace my actions, it would lead them straight to you, because I met up with you first. “ Sakura inhales sharply, eyes widening as understanding dawns on her. She rises in rage. “You! I let you into my home and you dare to bring problems with you? And on purpose?”. Oh. She’s mad. I am too, but I’m too sleepy to even muster up the energy to be angry. “Calm down, Hoshino”.

  • You’re Courting Me?!    EIGHTY-TWO|| An Unlikely Trio

    “I think you should leave”. After watching Rei down her sixth cup of tea, my curiosity fades. Now I remember the reason why I hate having guests over. Those teabags were expensive as fuck. She sits there, blinking at me in faux innocence. It makes me want to slam my head against the wall. “I thought you were interested in this”. She taps the black disc on the table twice. I eye both it and her in disdain. “My interest died around the time you poured your fourth cup”. Sakura snickers. Yes, Sakura. Being the gossip that she is— she refused to go to bed upon meeting Rei. I can understand her being curious, but this information that the tea-thief wants to share seems a bit dangerous. Like a poisoned chalice. But Sakura isn’t a true gossip for nothing. “Wouldn’t it be rude to leave the teapot half full?”. Ah. That innocent tone is starting to piss me off. “But six cups? Six cups of tea?”. I want her gone already. “What are you? Dehydrated?”. I feel like I just
