"It's a brooch..." Rachel sounded disappointed.

"Do you not like it?" Maxwell asked.

"I do." Rachel forced a smile. "This brand's brooches must be expensive, right? You didn't have to buy such expensive gifts for me. The only thing I want is your heart."

Maxwell took a sip of red wine, masking his embarrassment.
