Everyone in the office turned and stared at me.
"What are you talking about?" Alyssa asked.
"Take a look at this." I said and gave the paper to Alyssa.
Alyssa went silent after reading it.
Julia collected the paper from Alyssa and read it as well.
"This can't be. What happened to him? Who did this to him?" Julia sobbed in pain.
I glared at Alyssa but stopped before anyone could notice.
"How could such a nice guy face such a horrible death?" Another worker said and shook his head.
One thing is for sure, this had Alyssa's name written all over it.
How am i sure that she wasn't to busy attacking and then killing Henry and that is why she is coming up with these lame excuses?
I would have suspected a vampire did this but that is not the way they kill humans.
This is clearly the work of a werewolf.
I really need some time alone to process this and come up with an answer.
I am very sure that this matter will be brought up in the werewolf gathering tonight.
As a luna, much will be expected of me regarding this case.
Werewolves have a strict rule against such hunts.
The news had already spread through the entire company and everyone's mood got changed.
A very social and friendly worker, someone whom everybody that worked there loved, is now dead. His body is torn apart out there.
This was indeed a shocking news.
I did as Mr Stark had told me to and delivered the paper to him, personally.
I got back to my typist section and took my place at my seat.
I will speak to Alyssa after work is over. As for now i need to concentrate.
At two 'o' clock sharp, Mr Stark had someone notify all the workers to gather around for an important announcement in front of his office.
Everyone made their way to the front of his office and waited for him to come out.
After some long minutes of waiting for Mr Stark, he finally came out.
"Good day everyone." Mr Stark greeted.
"Good day to you sir." They all chorused, except me.
He didn't even apologize for keeping us waiting for so long. Incompetent fool.
"I gathered every one of you here to inform you that i will not be tolerating any form of slacking from any of you.
Henry's death will not be used as an alibi for anyone here who tries to show even a bit of laziness. I will not waste a dime of my mone on anyone who fails to do his or her work properly. I hope you all understand what i am saying." Mr Stark said.
This was no surprise to anyone. Mr Stark has always been like this. His money before anything else.
Have i mentioned how much i hate this man? If i haven't then now i have.
He just executes everything the way it will be of benefit to him and himself alone. He never thinks about his people.
The mere sight of such a selfish person irritates me. He is also very rude.
It's kind of a surprise to me he even greeted us.
"Note that nobody will be given a day of for any reason at all." Mr Stark added.
"But sir... I really have to go. Henry is my cousin. It's only right i stay with our family at this period of time. I'm pleading with you sir." Andrew said.
"Oh, you want to be with your cousin's family?" Mr Stark asked.
"Yes sir." Andrew replied.
"Sure, you are free to go." Mr Stark said.
Andrew thanked Mr Stark and went on his way.
"Wait a minute. Why are you in such a hurry? You have to sign these papers first." Mr Stark said.
"What papers?" Andrew asked.
"Your resignation papers." Mr Stark said.
Everyone's mouth fell open. Was this guy really serious?
"I... I don't understand what you are trying to say sir." Andrew replied.
"If you want to leave before closing time, it must definitely mean that you don't need your job anymore." Mr Stark said.
Andrew didn't know what to say or do anymore. He came back with a look of despair in his eyes and joined the crowd again.
"Anyone else want to leave?!" Mr Stark said.
Everyone kept silent after his question.
"I didn't think so. Now return to work." He ordered.
Everyone present there spread out to their previous positions of work before the gathering was made.
Mr Starks showcase of heartlessness was the talk of the day.
I couldn't care less about what he does, as long as he stays within his limits.
I didn't speak with Alyssa and she didn't talk to me. At least not until we closed for the day.
Everyone had started packing up their stuff to leave.
I packed up as well and so did Alyssa.
Alyssa was about to leave but i warned her not to leave until i speak with her.
She waited outside the company for me and i met with her.
"I know what you are thinking." She said.
"I don't really blame you if you think i am responsible for the death of Henry but i swear i didn't do it." Alyssa explained.
"How do you expect me to believe that? You are the only one i know that hates Henry." I replied.
"I don't expect you to trust me anyways. Nobody ever believes me." She said and turned to leave.
"I will try, but i can't say what will be your fate. You know more than anybody that this will come up in tonight's gathering. As the luna, i am expected to speak only the truth of what my point of view is." I said to her.
"I understand." Alyssa said.
"Okay. See you at the gathering." I said.
"What about Mr Stark?" She asked.
"He will have to wait. As for now we have something much bigger at hand." I replied.
We set in motion to our separate directions.
Right now my only suspect is Alyssa. Nobody else had a fight with Henry, at least none that i know of.
And i can't say it's Mr Stark. What would make him want to kill Henry?
Vampires are also out of the question.
Speaking of vampires, it's been quite a long time since their last attack on a werewolf. That is quite strange.
I reached home and unlocked the door as i usually did.
My eyes turned golden yellow as I smelt the air for my parents.
Mother and Father were definitely here a few moments ago but where did they go?
I let out a growl.
I stepped outside, making sure no one spotted me.
I sniffed again and again.
Mother and father didn't go to the gathering.
They went the opposite direction.
It's time i get to the bottom of all this.
I locked the door and ran to the back garden and transformed.
Following my parents' scent, i found them at a strange place.
Somewhere i haven't really been before.
"This wasn't part of the plan." Father said.
"Haha, it was never up to you." A male voice said.
"You should learn to stick to your end of the bargain." Mother said in a growl and marched forward.
Father stopped her from attacking whoever it was they were speaking to.
"Haha haha. You should never trust a vampire." The voice said and walked into the moon light.
It was the leader of the vampires.
What are my parents doing with Vector?
It was then i realized that i had walked into vampire territory.
"You know very well that what happened will be spoken of in the gathering today. This is getting too much to handle." Father said. "Why the hell did you kill that human?" Mother asked furiously. "Let's just say it's all for fun. I love watching them die. I have their life right here in my grasp and I plan to dispose of it whenever I please." Vector said and laughed hysterically. "It's drawing too much attention. Do you have any idea what will be done to us if the alpha finds out we have been supplying you humans to feast from?" Father said. "I don't care what happens to you. Just make sure that i keep getting more blood supply." Vector let out. Vector's eyes turned blood red. Vector is tall and his skin complexion was pale just like every other vampire he was in charge of. Vampires had always had this believe that humans were only in existence so they can feed on their blood whenever they wished. Just like the humans do
Chapter seven (Andra disposes of her parents) They both got up and made their way to where I was and stood beside me at a little distance. "So, I have come to a conclusion and have made a decision that I would ask all of you this question. What is the best punishment for these two traitors?!" I threw a question to the pack. "Death! Death! Death! Death!" They all recited with fierce growls and howls. I felt the eyes of the alpha on me as I walked towards my parents. Mother and father bowed their heads before me. "Do as you must." Father said. "You two are a disgrace. Working for the vampires and betraying the pack. You know very well, the enmity we share with those beings." I sai
I wined up my car glass and they were forced to remove their hands. I moved through the company gates, with my car, slowly and kept pushing the horn to make them move faster away from my path. The security men at the entrance of the company stopped the press from entering the premises. I finally made it into the company but it wasn't over yet. Workers there gathered around me and started throwing questions at me. I just wish I could read minds as well so I can finally know what is really going on here. "Is it true Andra? That you are taking over your parents' businesses?" One of the workers finally asked, thereby opening my eyes to what it was all about. Finally, a clear question. How did they find out about this so soon. This is something that happened over night.
For me, vampires had always been jealous of werewolves. Werewolves could mix up with humans in the daylight but vampires can't. Vampires had always been stuck in their coffins at the rising of the sun. Another document was brought to me and I stopped my thoughts and resumed typing. Soon enough the time for closure arrived and everyone started to pack up. I decided to meet Alyssa first, since she is physically closer to me. I walked straight to her and confronted her. "Here I am Alyssa. What is it you wanted to tell me?" I asked. "Come on Andra, I agree you are a werewolf but try slowing down a bit." Alyssa said. "Just make it quick. I have somewhere else to be." I replied. "We only just closed. At least give me some time to pack up my things first." She said. &nbs
"How come you are searching for her this soon. I thought a person was considered to be missing only after twenty four hours or something of that sort." I said. "Yes, but this scene was captured on a CCTV camera." The officer said. "I guess we can show you, since you are her friend." The second officer added. They returned to my table and opened up a laptop that one of them had been holding. A video was played and I watched patiently. Alyssa was walking along the road when a car stopped beside her. A man in a black coat came down from behind her and covered her nose with a handkerchief. She passed out after so much struggling and was taken into the car. The video ended. "After that, the vehicle followed routes without CCTV cameras. We don't know what happened and we can't identify a car without a plate
I tried to hide my surprised reaction from the alpha but he already saw through me. "I take it, you haven't come across such an amount before?" He said. I closed my mouth and looked at him. "I'll be off then. And take it that my job with you is over. What I mean is that, I won't be spying on you from now henceforth." He said. "Wait, you've been spying on me?" I asked. "And don't worry about questions that will rise about your parents. I handled that already." He said. Then he smiled and took my hand into his.
Don't ask me were it came from, sometimes the writer of this book can come up with stupid ideas. "Preshy Writes can just be crazy." I said with a smile. I moved with speed and sprayed it all over Stark's company walls. I even wrote something right in the middle of the front wall. The next day... I woke up and prepared for work as I usually do. Today I can't wait to see the result of what I had done last night. My plans on how to retaliate are always going to be ten times worse than whatever he was going to do. You don't expect that I would let you get away with it, do you Stark? An hour after I had started work in my company, Stark barged in. "Why you little..." He said and charged towards me. My security
This record of his self confession will work well against him. I made my way down and came out of the company. I was immediately attacked with questions by the journalists. "Ma'am! Ma'am! Is it true that you have been after Mr Stark for so long?" A journalist asked. "No, that rumour is fake. I don't have anything against Mr Stark." I answered. "How about what had happened to his company walls. Any idea who is responsible?" Another asked. "No. I am totally innocent of all he said against me." I said. "And why should
