LOGINIt was almost as if Fabian noticed how anxious I was, he reached out and placed his hand on mine. I turned my head to meet his gaze and our eyes locked. He smiled. "Everything is going to be alright." His voice was soft and soothing, almost like a medicine to my wound. But his smile was more infectious. I couldn't help but smile myself. I turned to check on Gemma in the back seat– he had even installed a baby seat in his car just because of today– who was oddly quiet. She was focused on her iPad, enjoying her games. I decided not to disturb her. Knowing she was alright was peace to me. We arrived at the location they had given us– it was a high end restaurant. A young bright looking lady was at the receptionist table. She gave us a brighter smile and bowed her head. "Good morning and welcome to heaven's taste. Do you have a reservation?" Fabian spoke on behalf of us as I had asked him. I was too nervous to put words together properly. "Good morning. We have a reservation. We a
I couldn't let it show how much it had hurt me to hear those words. They were right after all, what difference would be between my mother and I if I let the same thing repeat itself?I looked up at him and managed a smile. "Could you please just… maybe play along? I don't want to break her little heart.""Hey." He moved closer to me and cupped my face in his palm. "I will do whatever for you. Don't worry. Besides, I care about Gemma too and the last thing I would ever want is to break her fragile heart." A sad smile curved on my lips. As the heated conversation came to an end, my attention returned to his clown-like make up and I chuckled. "You don't know what you look like." A smile tugged at his lips and he whispered into my ear. "My make up is prettier than yours." I hit him on the chest playfully and we both shared a laugh. The rest of the day went by so quickly. I had spent so much time sorting the documents for work while also trying to make myself available for Gemma. The
The day was full of events. Lizzy and Nelly had dropped by for a fun date and also to help Nelly study. I had asked Fabian to hang around and teach her a few things, he was smart and was always the top student back in his school days. He didn't seem to mind as well since he was free. But night had finally come and everyone was sleeping peacefully. Everyone except for myself. I laid on my side with my back towards Fabian. His warm hand was wrapped around my waist and my back pressed against his firm chest. Such a small gesture made me feel so protected. But sleep was too far from me. For some reason, my eyes didn't even feel heavy or tired. I reached for my phone and checked the time. It was a little after three in the morning. A sigh drew from my lips. "What's bothering you?" Fabian's voice took me by surprise. I turned to face him in bed and he opened his eyes. Those dark portals pulled me in at once. "I thought you were asleep." He smiled softly. "How can I fall asleep when
THIRD POV Tears trailed uncontrollably down her face, washing off her make up. She didn't know how long she was there, but something urged her to rise to her feet. Her knees buckled, the sudden ache spreading all through her body. Her legs were starting to grow numb. She knew it was time to stand up or else the pain would get worse. "That's not a pretty sight to see." A voice said from behind her. She turned around and to her surprise, Damian was standing there with his hands buried in the depth of his pants pockets and a smug smile on his handsome face. Driven by rage, she rushed towards him and sent her palm across his face. "You disgusting filthy liar!" She spat out in his face. The smile on Damian's face slipped off like a mask and when he turned his head to meet her gaze again, what she saw in them made her take a sudden step backwards. He licked the inside of his lower lips and winced softly. "That stung." He said with a dangerous smirk on his face. His eyes had drained
THIRD POV Ella stood at the doorstep of the mansion she shared with her fiance, it looked no bigger than a small space in Blaire's palace. She bit down on her lower lip, staring at the place from the tall roof to the bottom. Normally, it was magnificent. Standing tall and well decorated with expensive materials. Her fake set of friends were jealous of her because she seemed to be the one with the most expensive things. But now, none of it had worth in her eyes anymore. She began to think of so many things. She didn't have a personal car where as Jacob owned three. One was designated to her but she couldn't take it anywhere without his permission and there was a fixed driver as well. She wouldn't have minded but she was not allowed to take it out at will. Now that Jacob was on a trip, the garage was locked. Even if it wasn't, the keys were no where to be found. When she thought about it, she realized Blaire never had a personal car when she was married to Jacob as well. Also, he
She seemed like she was lost in her thoughts for a moment. Her eyes wandered around the room as if searching for answers to a question that was asked only in her head. Then she suddenly glared at me, flames burning in her eyes as rage made her clench her fist. "Whatever it is you are trying to achieve, just forget it. Whatever is running through your head right now, it's too late for any of that. "I'm in the wrong?" She scoffed a laugh with a roll of her eyes. "Hey, she isn't just your mother, she is my mother too. She gave birth to me so I have equal rights to her like you do–" "Equal? Is this what you call equal? Taking her away from me is what you call equal?" I squinted my eyes, trying to see the sense behind her words. She let out a laugh filled with so much scorn and evil. "Hey, open your eyes, will you? Take her away from you? I did no such thing. She threw you away with her own hands because you were a cheap knock off of the useless man she gave her heart to at first–"Ang
