Chapter Sixty-Six: My Grave

Annabelle.

I shifted my mask then rubbed my tired eyes comfortably. The meeting had been on for hours, and as though that was not ridiculous enough, the meeting was virtual, but Rocco and Tony were still standing behind me, masked and acting as my bodyguards.

The room was plain. If anything, it looked like a prison cell, with only a window at the top right corner of the room. The window itself was masked to avoid tracking, so I was basically in a room with no windows.

The table sat a maximum of eight people. I took the head seat while seven computers, each projecting a different masked person, were placed next to each of the spaces.

Gunshots sounded from outside the room, and I turned my gaze to Tony, who nodded and proceeded to the door.

“Is there a problem?” A person using a badger mask asked. On the username dashboard laid the title ‘Soni’.
