VIVIANNE

Three days later, I was standing at Italy International Airport, waiting for Russell to be back with the drink. Suddenly, my vision blurred, and black dots appeared in my vision.

"Fuck." I muttered.

Looking around, I noticed Russell wasn't anywhere near me, so I immediately opened my bag, popping two pills in my mouth, even with how dizzy I was feeling.

"Are you okay?" A voice came from beside me. I turned my head to see a man stretching a bottle of water to me.

"Fine," I whispered without taking it. I swallowed hard harshly to push the drug down my throat.

"Do you need water? You just took those pills without water."

"I'm fine," I said sternly. Looking up ahead, I saw Russell coming towards me with a wide smile on his face and two cups of mango juice. I smiled weakly, swallowing hard again.

The pill was stuck in my throat, and I knew it was cause there was nothing to push it down. He finally got to me and sat down beside me with a wide smile. Giving me one of the juice cups,

"Stop laughing at me!" Vivianne yelled, slapping Russell in the chest. His deep chuckle that rumbled from within his chest rumbled under her palm, making her hand vibrate on his chest. They were lying in the hospital bed with Vivianne scooped up in Russell's arms, their body meshed together like they wanted to be in each other 's skin.Russell was teasing Vivianne about her swollen face after crying, while Vivianne gasped, offended, and she hit him in hopes that he would stop teasing her unnecessarily."This is her ward!" A shout could be heard from outside the door. Before either of them could react, the door had been pushed open. Violette was the first to rush in, with Violetta and Russell's father trailing closely behind, worry written all over their faces. Their worry, however melted into surprise as they watched the couple coddled in the bed.Violetta, the mother, blinked at the scene in front of her before letting out a dramatic gasp."What do you think you're doing in the hospi

THE NEXT MORNING...Vivianne got up from her sleep, or rather, her tossing and turning throughout the night. A bandage was still holding her skull together where they had stitched it. "Good morning!" A cheerful nurse greeted with a wide smile."Good morning. I want to take a bath, is that possible?""Not quite. We can't let your bandage get wet, and at the same time, we can't let you go unwatched without your bandage. I would have suggested taking it off while you bathed.""So a bed bath is the only possible way?"The nurse stared at her, biting her lower lip as though deep in thought. She nodded her head saying,"I can let you take a shower if you promise me you won't let your hair get wet, talk more about your bandage.""I promise you!" Vivianne was quick to shout."Alright then. Ring that bell when you're done so I can change your bandage. Is that alright?""Perfect. Thank you so much!"The Nurse smiled, checking her vitals before she walked out of the room. Vivianne stripped out

She always knew. She always knew she stood the chance of losing her memories, yet she never told him.He was angry, livid, in fact. How could she not tell him something this important? Did she not deem him trustworthy enough? Shutting his eye, he took a deep breath, shaking his head. He shouldn't get angry. That wasn't right. His eyes slowly peeled open as he read the letter's contents over again. Sighing, he kept his anger at bay and stretched his hand to grab his phone to text her. He successfully typed a single 'hi' message, but immediately, a red exclamation mark appeared beside the message.Raising a brow, he sent another text, same results. What was going on? Was his phone broken? He decided to try sending a message to someone else, but the only person on his message list was Eugene. He sent a lone Hi message, and it was delivered almost immediately. Eugene sent three question marks in reply.Russell tilted his head at the message. Why was Eugene getting his message and Vivian

Pulling away from the kiss, Russell leaned his forehead on hers, each trapped in their own thoughts."All patients should be brought back into the hospital with the help of a guide or a caregiver! It's getting dark!" A nurse yelled into the night air. "Let's go," Vivianne called, pulling away from Russell. He nodded, taking her hand in his as they walked away, the question on the tip of his tongue. He was going to ask her as soon as they got back into her room."Visiting hours are over. I'm going to have to ask you to leave, sir." The nurse stopped Russell at the entrance."I'd come to the hospital if I pleased." Russell fired back, glaring at the Nurse. Vivianne wasn't pushing him away and now he had to leave her?"Miss Vivianne isn't feeling much better yet, please don't make this even more difficult for us.""She's fine. Does she look like she's not good to you?" He argued."Russell..." Vivianne called, pulling Russell back before the Nurse could retort.Russell turned his face in

"Do you remember him?" Shania was the first to break the silence. Vivianne and Russell stared at each other after Vivianne called his name. A sense of familiarity lingered in the room, but Russell was scared to say anything so her memory didn't go running."What do you mean remember him?" Vivianne questioned, confused. "You just called him Russell, do you not remember him?" Shania asked."She seems not to. There's no need to push her." Russell cut in before Vivianne could open her mouth to reply to her best friend. He walked into the room, setting down the bag in his hand on the bed. Shania jumped out of her seat, gesturing to it while saying,"You can sit here."Russell hummed, taking a seat beside Vivianne, who watched him with a look that, for the first time, Russell couldn't decipher the meaning behind her gaze."What's wrong?" He asked, blinking at her."You're handsome." She said suddenly, making Russell turn red in the face, his eyes widening. She was blushing too, her eyes f

Running into the hospital, Russell almost collided head-on with Shania, who was pacing up and down in the hallway. As she was about to speak to Russell, the door of the operating room was pushed open."Is the donor here?!" The surgeon yelled frantically."Here." Russell gestured raising his hand in the air. Shania squinted at his hand before gasping,"Is that blood on your sleeve?" Russell looked down at the sleeve that she was gesturing to; there was a red stain on the sleeve of his shirt. He looked back down at her face, which was contorted with fear. Her hand slapped her mouth, her eyes widened and darted between the bloodstained sleeve and his eyes."It's not blood, don't be funny." Russell dismissed her, walking away. He followed the doctor who led him to the blood bank. On the way, the doctor was paged saying they really needed the blood right away. So, he had no choice but to drag Russell along with him and get him into a sterile surgical gown before they entered the main sur
