“That. Was. Awesome!” Mr. Carl exclaimed the moment Zeda and Vyr entered the backroom.

He gave Zeda a big hug, then turned to Vyr with his arms still outstretched, but thought better of it. He patted Vyr’s arm awkwardly and went to congratulate the rest of the crew.

“The drama was a success, whoooo!” Darcy exclaimed as everyone began hugging each other. Vyr, of course, hugged only Rylan, Draven, and Rose.

“Prince Vyr, the drama was perfect, just like you wanted,” a blonde girl Zeda didn’t know said, showing a mouthful of teeth.

“It had to be,” Vyr replied, his voice a low drawl. “It’s all I can accept.” Zeda rolled her eyes at his arrogance.

“Good job, Z,” Carrie said, hugging her tightly. “It’s remarkable that you put the events of the night behind you and pulled off a performance like that.”

Zeda shrugged with a smile. “I had to. There’s someone who’s obsessed with perfection breathing down my neck.”

They chuckled and looked at Vyr, who was talking with Rylan and Draven. He laughed
