Episode 3.3: Doll in the house

"Umm...daddy... Me afraid..." Ava asks to pretend to be anxious to meet them. She grips the man's hand with both and shrinks her neck. Robert eases her mind by giving a little pat as the courage to the girl. Ava puts up sweet smiles that melt the man's heart. He is falling bit by bit and for sure the girl can see it. 'This man doesn't deserve to be loved... Such a pity for you that I am not your real “daughter”...'

"Don't be afraid honey... They are all good people... We are family..."

(Crack...)

He is startled by this ... The word “family” stucks in his head like a fly trapped on a glued-paper... He isn't feeling that great at all...This man never knew the feelings that he felt is getting stronger and stronger... The first time they met is when the girl accidentally collides during her run... She was playing 'tag' with the maids when she suddenly came across the man who is in his working suit... He just came back from the funeral, the glow in his eyes darken after hours of crying in front of his wife's grave. He didn't know when he conceives a child but once he saw the same features of her... He is in the utmost surprise! The child is still small and fragile but he knows that this small child had received the “Power of Life and Death” from her mother...After that, he swore to take care of this child preciously like an untouchable jewel that shines his life... But as time pass by, the feeling of love grows stronger and stronger that it became the biggest fear in his life... Once he blurts out the word family, the man regains his conscious again...

He wishes that he would never even dream to say that...!

While the man feels Unhappy with the letter the other also ridiculing it with curses and mocks to calm her nerves. 'Yes... Right such an amazing, incredibly loving, caring and prefabricated folk!' Ava rolls her eyes...

Whatever it is, she needs to obtain the statue fast because another mission came out of nowhere by the time they leave the room...

This time the mission is to obtain the golden locket that supposed to be hers. How the locket slips past the girl is unknown but the system does give a clue on how to find it... She needs to obtain the trust of the man sitting at the dining... He is none other than the male lead of the story...

Because of his position in the story, Harry is comparable to the man beside her. Although Robert is more to the rough masculine type... This man is more into the charming sort of masculinity. In another word, The prince charming of the story...  He just ends with the wrong Cinderella...

Ava doesn't care even a little bit of Jasmine's blind emotions towards her childhood love. She had thought about it before that maybe she could try to fulfil this girl's yearning for the man but... She changes her mind. This man is too young for her and she is into the matured one rather than fresh flower buds...Although he is not completely a  flowery boy... But, he is 16! You know how a sixteen years old teenager's features look like... The girl(Ava) who is blabbering nonsense is also a sixteen years old girl even though she is eighteen in the original earth...

Ava studies his traits carefully. Those slightly sharp black eyes match his trimmed black hair... His light green skin still has a little bit of baby fat around the cheeks but not by much... But overall he is still an outstanding male lead and his traits will shine the brightest by the time he marries the protagonist. This man is the source of negativity for the girl... He leads to the girl's death by leaving her behind for someone else... But, there is no way that is the only cause of her death... His feelings are not that strong in the beginning and she doesn't feel some sort of attraction or bond with him...

Ava hides behind Robert who is walking towards the dining table. Robert calmly pulls out the chair beside the twins and guides the girl to take a sit. "What is she doing here?" A gentle voice enters the ears. Her voice is like a bamboo tree breezing in the air. Usually, the voice would soothe the most unsteady heart but for Ava, that voice is non-other than the devils.

The evil mistress that escapes from her karma...Duchess Vanessa Lilac or specifically known as The shameless Vanessa Enderson an ex-wife of a respected royal knight...!

This woman used to be the wife of a royal knight. Their life is peaceful and at a steady pace completed with three beautiful intelligent children. But Vanessa is a natural-born greedy woman who wants to get to the nobles... Ever since she was young her poor parents teach her to be with a noble but she fell in love with a boy in her village. This boy is the only royal knight in the townlet. Vanessa pleads her parents to bless their marriage and finally they comply with their only daughter's wish. The two lovebirds have a great life together until her husband became too busy with works. Vanessa lost her love for the man as she is kept as a housewife and need to raise the children by herself. She felt suffocate to be 'just a housewife' and doesn't gain respect from the people in the village even though her husband is a royal knight. 

To fulfil her greedy heart, on the day her husband died in a war... She seduces the man of Lilacs and marries him without regret... That man is Robert Lilac, the only heir for the family at that time...

After their marriage, she thought that her life would be joyous and she would not feel lonely anymore... She would be respected as a noble and would not be looked down. She will receive an endless richness and honour from the whole kingdom and stumps arrogantly at the rubbish old village...

She thought that her husband would not leave her alone but it seems like she was wrong. The man is always busy to even care about her being. He only ever responds if she asks for money or jewellery but nothing more than that. He even won't sleep together with her at night, she actually seduces him just to get rejected! It is so weird for a man who used to love her ignore her completely. After a while, she finally found the factor of the whole problem... This girl, Jasmine Lilac! she became her husband new source of attention and she knows that as long as this girl is alive... She will be treated unfairly by the man forever. Vanessa is determined to not let this matter go...!

"Vanessa didn't mean it rudely... But I am afraid that Jasmine will be uncomfortable with us... Darling" She talks sweetly to her husband portraying the lovely good wife who is worried about her daughter... Meanwhile, Ava almost rolls her eyes but she clenches her teeth... Hearing this sweet wife talk is like drinking your own pukes... 'What a powerful paragraph you have there...' Ava thought secretly gritting...  Is this how an educated lady to be more specific “Duchess” talk? You don't even have a good relationship, to begin with!

Robert glances at her wife... His eyes are as cold as an ice..."Rya wants to have dinner with us... I am just about to bring the sandwich that the maids make for her but it seems like it was too late..."

Ava watches the cold interaction between the couples... Then her eyes turn towards the gloomy twins. It is completely true that they indeed hate her to the bones, Ava laugh in her mind. 'Does they even have the right to be hating her in any circumstances? ... I am the true miss of this house while they are just mere commoners... Truly brazen!" Like mother like daughters...

An intense stare catches her attention and the girl glimpse at the aura and smile in mocks...

A mischievous idea comes to mind...

"Daddy...who?" Ava points towards the world's male lead, Harry Lilac the first son of a royal knight... The original Jasmine loves this man and have kept this feeling in her heart for so long but finally got nothing out of it....? It seems like she got a hint of it as she compares the two men in the room. 'Ah

... I see, this girl can still stand until today is not because of the male lead but because of her father' She should have known better...

Robert takes the lead to plates his precious daughter her meal instead of the maids... The witnesses in the room are in trance by the intimate action... Even the mistress herself almost knock down her glass of wine... "He is your brother honey... Don't mind him, eat your food... Fill your little tummy okay" He smiles and turns towards his place but is stopped once again by the girl...

Jasmine peeks at the Duchess without her glinting eyes being noticed by the audience...  'I am sorry Duchess of Lilac AKA Vanessa Lilac' since you use me to obtain your husband's love... I'll return the offer back to you...

"Daddy... me eat " the girl opens her mouth as a gesture for the man to feed her in front of his dear wife...

In another space of darkness, a little doll still in her red garments is resting peacefully on a soft cotton sofa... He watches the screen and laughs... Often, shoving the popcorn into his mouth...
