Saria couldn’t move.

The voice came from somewhere beyond the flames.

Deep.

Calm.

Almost familiar.

Her heart pounded against her chest.

“Who are you?” she shouted.

No answer.

Only the crackling sound of the burning vehicles ahead.

Lucas immediately pulled Saria down.

“Stay behind me.”

Dan grabbed her arm.

“Saria, don’t move.”

Saria lowered the phone. Her breathing became uneven. Lucas stepped beside her. “We’re going in.” Adams stood despite his wounded shoulder.
