chapter 5 Strange things Love can do to a man

            I collected the files from my secretary who stood as if she was glued to the floor and she exited the office immediately.

     I couldn't resist the urge to kiss her and I had told her she was so beautiful, caressing her face I leaned in to kiss her but she stopped me halfway placing a finger  on my lips. She then gat up, adjusted her dress and left my office without uttering a word . 

       I sat back on my chair and replayed the scene that just happened in my mind. Linda is mine and mine alone even if it means I will kidnap her heart ,I wouldn't regret it a bit.

     I logged into the internet later and organised an online meeting only to be told by other workers that Linda's PC is disconnected. I called her office intercom and she told me she wanted to rest a bit before it's time to go home. I told her co-workers not to disturb her throughout the day and none of them had the effrontery to question my orders. "Well,she needs rest and am  damn gonna give her lots of it",I murmured to myself grinning from ear to ear,I love this girl so much.

     Gosh,it's already 10:15pm,I had gotten so engrossed in the files I was going through that I had forgotten that Linda didn't bring her car to work today. I called my secretary to ask about Linda and she told me that it seems she's still sleeping and I gasped. Linda is supposed to go home at 8:00pm and it's already 10:15pm , my secretary and my personal assistant are the only ones allowed to stay at work with me till 10:30pm and that is if I have lots to do that I could not go home early.

        I packed my stuff and realised that for the first time in my life,I didn't hang my coat. I wore it throughout the day all cos of Linda scent that's on it and that seems weird,but what am I to say cos love itself is weird.

         I went into Linda's office and woke her up,she had hissed at me but I just don't care. If she wants it she can even break my head,all I care about is her being my girlfriend then my fiancee before finally becoming my lovely wife.

        Stuttering, she said she was sorry that she didn't know I am the one. She still didn't call me by my name so I thought of teasing her a bit . I walked briskly towards her,"how many times will I tell you to call me by my name Linda"I told her humourously matching the centre of her sex to mine. "Kenneth,stop it "she said in a whisper and I dropped her immediately. I told her I just wanted her to call me by my name and volunteered to take her home since it's already late and she wasn't with her car. After lot's of hesitations,she agreed.

        I drove her home so slowly because I didn't want to part ways with her wanting to cherish all the time we spend together by myself.

        She alighted from the car when she got home and I had quickly done that also in order to inhale her scent . I went ahead to kiss her forehead and wished her a good night rest before getting back into my car.

       When I got home,I couldn't cook any meal cos I was so famished and can't bring myself to cooking dinner. I ordered for pizza and ate it with beer. I had a shower later then watched news for a while before going to bed. I couldn't sleep and was imagining what it was gonna be like to have Linda on my bed cuddling. With that,I stood up and took my coat ;the one I wore to work today, wrapped it after inhaling her scent, placed it beside me on the bed and cuddled it as if it were Linda. Before I knew it,I was already dozing off."Strange things love can do to a man"I thought sleeping.
