Sophia's POV

The private terrace was transformed into something out of a dream.

Candles flickered on every surface, their golden light dancing across white linen tablecloths and crystal stemware. Rose petals were scattered across the stone floor, leading to a table set for two beneath a canopy of twinkling fairy lights. The ocean stretched out before us like liquid silver under the moonlight, and somewhere in the distance, soft violin music drifted on the warm evening breeze.

This is perfect. Too perfect.

Vito sat across from me, looking impossibly handsome in a white linen shirt that was unbuttoned at the collar. Without his usual dark suit and imposing wheelchair, he seemed almost approachable. Almost normal. Like we were just two people on a romantic vacation, not a mafia don and his fraudulent wife.

"You're quiet tonight," he observed, swirling the wine in his glass with practiced elegance. "Something on your mind?"
