I don't know how much time has gone by when she stopped, i just know i don't want her to ever stop. The sun is up already, but we are all displeased when the singing ceases, i can tell through the mindlink. We all loved the effect it had on us.

When she stops, she gets up and faces us, as we all sit closer to each other by now.

"Hello", she says, smiling widely. We all bark our hellos but immediately are taken aback by the sound. I guess we forgot we are still in our wolf form! We are all looking at each other uncomfortably, but since i am the Beta of the pack i have to make a decision here. And i decide to shift back to my human form, completely naked in front of her, and watch as the shock on their faces grows bigger with every person shifting, one by one, in front of them. The boys let out some screams and move closer to each other, but she... she is just amazed.

There is no fear on her face, just awe. Then, that warm smile again. Then surprise, when her eyes fall on me and Liam. And then the realisation...

"THAT'S WHY YOU SMELLED LIKE DOG!!" she squeals and grabs her face with her palms. Everyone is laughing, even i can't control myself and start giggling. I already feel relaxed by her song, but this woman has the power of making everyone happy just by being there. It feels great to see my packmates laugh and being so light-headed,as  it's a rare sight in our pack.

"I am sorry, i didn't want you to find out this way.", i apologise to her, moving closer. She moves closer as well.

"Was there a plan to ever let me know?", she tilts her head a bit while asking this question. The truth is, there wasn't. The majority of humans in this town is oblivious to our existance. They might have heard stories, but they are nothing more than stories for them. Fairytales. Amy and her kids could live the same life as the rest of them. Unless, i decided to have her as my mate. Then i would have to tell her everything... Well, now she knows anyway. And i just smile at the thought. And she smiles back, nodding once in understanding.

Her piercing gaze never left mine, so it took me a while to realise i am still naked. I look around and i see everyone dressed and socializing. Liam is introducing everyone to Amy's boys, and they ask everyone about shifting and stuff. I am the only one without clothes and Amy hasn't looked down there once. I will admit, i am a bit disappointed.

"What are you doing out there? We didn't expect anyone to be here at this hour." I say as i reach for my clothes.

"We came to get to know the new grounds. I was really busy the first few days of our arrival but it was essential to do so sooner rather than later.", she says, following me closely. Still her gaze never lowers. Is she a lesbian? That's why there's no ring on her finger? She can't be, no. She may not look, but i can smell her arousal, and she smells delicious.

"What do you mean?" i heard Liam right behind us, bringing me back to reality. " Your sons keep saying the same thing but i don't understand it."

Amy turns to face him. "We are elemental witches. Our powers come from the elements around us. It is essential for us to establish a bond with our surrounding nature, otherwise we will not be as strong. I guess, if you trusted us with your secret, we can trust you with ours..." she said, kind of shyly.

Witches... More witches... The Alpha is not going to like it at all.

"So that song was a spell? You were casting a spell on us?", i got defensive really fast, although i don't mean it. We don't hate the witches like our Alpha, but we are all skeptical about them. And they are all so weird, so you can't really blame us.

"What?",she says, startled. "You interrupted us, remember? How can i prepare a spell for something...someone... i couldn't have known was going to be there? Singing is the fastest way to connect with nature, to tune into the vibrations around you. The melody just comes in my head, depending on what i want to achieve. The melody that you first heard was to greet the forest, the melody after i saw you was to greet you and form a connenction. Was it that unpleasant for you?" She really sounds worried.

"No, no! On the contrary, it was an extremely pleasant, although brief, escape we all needed. And we didn't mean to interrupt anything, we had work to do. And as far as that work is concerned, i need to ask you something.", i get serious, i really need this matter settled before the Alpha gets back.

"This house used to belong to a werewolf family and we used the path behind the house to get to the forest. Today, we came to find alternative routes in the forest, now that you live here. But now you know our secret, so please tell me, is it still necessary to do so, or can we leave things the way they were?"

She listens very carefully, as always, and waits for me to finish in order to respond. She looks at me, nodding, as i utter my question. Her eyes fixed on mine, never averting them from me. She continues to look at me for a few more seconds after i finish and then blurts out, raising one shoulder: "I don't really mind. Let's have breakfast!" Aaand, that absend-minded, bubbly woman i so like, is back.

I failed to protect my first mate, and now i am causing trouble to my second. The Moon Goddess wanted to give me a second chance and i am failing with flying colours. The truth is i still hate having a witch as a mate. But deep down i think my perspective on it is changing. I don't grow a liking on witches in general, only her. I like her, in spite of her powers. My wolf is anxious, prowling in my head trying to move me. I know what he wants. He was so happy all these hours that Amy spent here.I stand up and run out, towards her house. It's been almost two hours since they came for her, two hours i spent looking at the wall opposite me. As i run, i notice their scent is faint from the house, and, readjusting my position, i catch it again towards the forest. I shift immediately and let my wolf do the rest.I see them finally, very deep in the forest, next to a small stream. She is laid down by the water, her right hand inside the stream, while her left is burried up to the elbow in so

Her next step is unstable. She stumbles and as she falls my wolf is faster than my thoughts. I move quicklly and secure her from falling. She really is unwell. I pick her up bridal style and our eyes lock in place for what feels like an eternity. My wolf is annoyingly cheerful in my head for holding her, at last, so close, and my heartrate has spiked. I set her on the couch and sit beside her, coming to the sad realisation that i actually care about her. I calm myself and ask again."What happened to you? I remember you being fine." "And i will be again. I just need some rest. How are you feeling?" she retorts back, as she raises her hand and caress my cheek. My eyes close involuntarily at her touch and my mind goes quiet for as long as the skin contact remains. She looks like she's been through hell and she's asking about me?"I'm a werewolf, i heal fast." I still hold her back up with my arm, her body feels so foreign to me but so familiar at the same time. I move some strands of h

My breathing becomes deeper at the thought of him naked on me. I realise that my need for him grows with every passing day. To see him, to feel him, even to fight with him. I watch as his chest moves irregularly up and down, troubled sleeping soundly during the recovery. How did i fall so hard? By the time i got to him last night, he was all curled up on the carpet, breathing irregularly with gurgling sounds coming from his chest, whimpering. Blood everywhere outside, started to also pool beneath him. I ran to him, stroking his matted fur and talking to him to calm down. The big beast allowed me full access on his body, in this delirius state he was in. I managed to stop the bleeding with my water magic, after i pulled the knives out. I caught the faint smell of vervein and panicked more. After the bleeding stopped, i conjured some vines from the ground and lifted him up to transfer him to the sofa. But as the vines grabbed him he screamed in pain and shifted. On the bed of the vin

Somewhere in the woods"Did you find her?", the man in the black hood asks, his voice low, filled with malice."I found the house, yes. But she wasn't there." the other man replies, panting. He is dressed casually, but now covered in sweat and dirt."A werewolf spotted me and chased me down. Your traps saved me, or i would be a dead man." He coughs, trying to calm his breathing. "She has a powerful protection spell around the house, though. I couldn't have done anything, even without the wolf." He sweeps his sweat with his sleeve and sits on a fallen log.The hooded man smirks. "Of course she has.""Why do you want her so bad, Gale boss?""Because, Roger, she and her sons are too powerful to live there. My spies tell me he already has them outcasted in the community, the boys have it hard at school. If i can make them turn against Sebastian, the pack is doomed.""You really think she will? Everyone says she is really nice.""She might be. But she is a mother, and her boys are being bu

  • the Alpha's Witch   Chapter 21

I had a hunch, but now is confirmed by the doctor. My wolf is in pain, a different one than that i am in. I am out of breath as i reach my house in wolf form, through the forest. Shifting is always a risk as my wolf takes almost full control, but now he is stressed and not in the mood for anything. I mean, for anything else but to go to her house. But her scent is faint, she is not home yet. The night is well above us by now, so she can't still be at the mall. But why do i care? Her scent may be faint but i catch a different smell close to her house. It's not a werewolf and it's not from the town. My wolf gets super protective and he storms behind her house at once, growling and snapping.I run as fast as i can, sniffing the air constantly to not lose track of them. But as i run i feel a burning pain penetrating my ribs and my wolf yelps as he loses his footing. Three knives are driven in my flesh, up to the hilt. The burning pain is spreading slowly all over my body, and it require

  • the Alpha's Witch   Chapter 20

Suddenly, it hits me. She exposed her magic in front of everyone. For the greater good, sure, but that was reckless. The human population is higher in this town than werewolves and witches combined. Witches... Will they see her as a threat or as an ally against me? She managed in so little time to change the power dynamics of the town and, if her sons are anything like her, i have a big problem in my hands. And humans? They looked amazed by her, they cheered. Were they not afraid? Did they think it was all a trick, maybe? As i bring the memory back, of her extinguishing the fire, her posture, her certainty, her earial moves, my heart flutters. And the apologetic look on her face when she noticed we were all drenched, like a child making an oopsie, makes me giggle a little. And the little becomes a lot, and out of nowhere, i burst out laughing like a lunatic. An angry, gutteral laugh, that makes my eyes water and my chest tighten. And as i calm myself down, i realise i haven't laughed
