chapter forty six

Pov Lily...

I sat on the edge of the bed, feeling dizzy and weak. My head throbbed with pain, and it was becoming unbearable. I took a deep breath, trying to fill my lungs hungry for oxygen. There was a glass of water on the nightstand beside my bed, and I silently thanked for it, taking a gulp of it voraciously before grabbing some fruit from the tray nearby in the hopes of regaining my strength.

"My head hurts so much," I murmured, trying to get up, but I was overcome by a dizziness that blurred my vision.

Johanna hurried into the room, worried. She held my arms gently, her expression filled with concern. "Lily, are you okay?"

"I don't feel well, Johanna," I admitted, shaking my head. I closed my eyes tightly, attempting to block the pain that seemed to spread throughout my body.

"Did you go to the doctor today with the Alpha, right?" Johanna asked, confused, helping me to sit down again.

"Yes, he said I looked fine... that there was nothing wrong with me, despite these symptoms," I
