The room was steeped in a dense aura, marked by my muffled sobs, tears sliding down my cheeks. The pain was immense, but I tried to conceal my emotions when I heard a gentle knock on the door. Lily, my mother, entered silently, sensing my distress.

I quickly wiped away the tears, though the sadness still shimmered in my eyes. Lily approached, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder. "I'm sorry, dear. I regret everything you're going through."

My mother's voice overflowed with compassion, and she gently suggested, "If you want, I can help you escape. You don't need to face all of this here. We can find a place where you can be free."

Surprised, I looked at my mother. "Would you do that for me? Defy the Alpha's orders for me?"

Lily replied without hesitation, "I've done it once for you, when I was pregnant. And I would do it again, for sure."

Now intrigued, I asked, "Why would you risk so much?"
