Chapter 22. She is back

Christopher’s pov

20 months and 24 days had passed since Amalia disappeared but it felt like an eternity for me.  I never stopped searching for her. Even if I wanted to I don’t think that my wolf would let me. He was always very fond of her, at first, I thought that he liked her in a friendly way but soon I learned that he liked her in another way like me. 

We had stopped only for two days nine months before when I felt her marking someone else. I was sure it was her. I felt the pain of my mate marking someone else and in order for me to feel that it ment that I already knew my mate. When we haven’t met our mates we don’t feel the loss of them even if they die, we just still searching for them in vain. 

The pain was so strong that me and my wolf were overwhelmed with a mix of anger, sadness, and betrayal. It was as if our world had come crashing down in an instant. The realization that she had found someone else left us hea
