After work today, I had decided to go visit the kids. I had to visit the pack, anyways. I made it to the Bayou and parked the car in front of mom’s house. It was a lot of tension here since that night. Mom was distant and Seth and I kept our distance away from her. We focused mainly on our pack and we only came by to visit the twins and Trinity. Janelle was out for the remainder of the day, so I kept the bar open for her. Seth was with the pack, so of course, Kilan was with me. That was not a problem since Kilan had been clinging to me for the longest. As I made a drink for this one customer, I could not get Trinity off my mind. Seeing her unconscious like that really bothered me. It even had me rethink about having unprotected sex with Seth. I did not want to go through the same thing she went through.            “You seem troubled,” the guy I was fixing the drink for, said to me.           I looked up at him, smiling. He was a regular like Dante, so he could tell I was not in a talkative mood tonight.           “Yeah, just in deep thought.” I told him as I handed him the drink he had ordered. “Let me know if you would like anything else.”

Friday finally came and I could never be any happier. Today, I was going to get my damn dream and that was to fight Grimm. Anubis came back and he was angry with me. Apparently, he was not ready to share with a vampire.            “Anubis, I need this.” I whispered as I began doing push-ups in my room. “Cut me some slack, okay?”           Anubis: I swear we are not going to get along. I can’t believe you want to wake this fucker up.           I smiled to myself as I went back down to the ground for the 50th time. Right when I got up on my arms, the door to my room opened up. I lifted my head up and stared at my father and uncle who stood there, waiting for me. I got off the ground and walked over to the two, waiting for the instructions from one of them.  

Dominic’s dead? It felt like a fucking brick sanked to the bottom of my stomach. I never thought my little brother would be dead. Aunt Nancy placed her hand on my shoulder and I turned to her. I looked around and seen that I was the only one standing with her. London ended up joining Dante and Janelle outside.           “Don’t worry; it had to be done.” She told me.           “Really?” I asked her.            “I hope you didn’t think that vampires were alive.”           “How does that work, though? Dead people walking among us is something we don’t believe.”           “Now you know how the rest of the people in the world feel about us. They believe that we are all just myths.”
