“Say you won’t ruin this, say you won’t give up, say you won’t let go, say you won’t hold back, say you’ll fight for us.” Karen~ He doesn’t answer my question instead; he kisses me, pulling me to his hard form and his arms, wrapping around my waist possessively as his tongue and lips devour into mine. My legs are up, tiptoeing to kiss him back because of our height, but I don’t feel the pressure on them because his arms are supporting me up. I don’t really know how, but we end up on the bed with William on top of me as he kisses the rest of my face before moving down to my neck. At the sweep of his tongue, at the spot where my shoulder and neck meet, my legs coil up and a long, hard moan escapes my mouth and I suddenly realise how sensitive the spot has become. William seems to have noticed it too because he focuses on there more, licking and sucking into it while his finger finds out my nipple through the sweater and plays with it. I moan and try to move, if not escape from the as

Honey, did you really think I wanted to see the hatred and dislike you had for me and the disgust you held in those eyes every time I did something stupid all those years? William ~ William’s POV FLASHBACK----> Karen was almost one, and all I wanted to do was be around her, experience life from her eyes. I wanted to be part of her world, which I knew was and will always be a lot better than mine. Being around her made me feel at ease and I didn’t feel as alone as I used to be before her birth. I remember the first day I saw her and how my heart has been with her ever since. “Is that not enough to be the problem? The only people I know that don’t age and look this way are gods. Are you a god Mr McQueen?” Karen~ Flashback-----> “The doctor says you wanted to see me?” I said, walking into Samuel’s ward and approaching his bed. He was at stage four of the cancer of the brain and, as much as I didn’t want to admit it; he was dying. His skin was so pale and his head had no hair and so was the strength I always knew him for. He nodded and motioned for me to sit down. I took my sit on the chair close to him and waited patiently for what he wanted to say. “Thank you, William, for everything you’ve done for me these past six months.” He said slowly and with much effort. I shook my head, “I did nothing, Samuel.” He smiled dryly, “To you, it might be nothing, but to me it’s everything.” Samuel illness wasn’t one we expected or prepared for, it was sudden and was aggressive that Samuel had to be hospitalised immediately and treatments began swiftly too and th

“I love you Karen and I’m going to do everything to make you happy even if it means paying your way into paradise” William~ We drive to the university and, being already familiar with the place, I lead the way and William trail behind me. “I heard you have been one of the Oxford stars for the last three years you’ve been here.” A satisfactory smile appears on my face, “Not to brag, but I’m the star among the stars of Oxford.” His eyes rolls, “Show off.” He says through his breath. “Sorry, Mr, how many awards and recognitions did you get in your time?” There are shades of red on both of his cheeks as he answers, “None.” “See?” “I never wanted to go into the family business, in fact, I wanted to be a poet, but like always William had other plans for me and I know I was always rebellious, but I will put my rebellion aside and make him proud of me. He will never be here to see it though.” “Well, I’m proud of you, not just as the successful billionaire you are, but for you and I st

“I want you to want me as much as I want you” William~ About seven-minute later, Japhia comes out of the booth with a worn-out look on his face. I approach him and William trails behind me. “How did it go?” I ask with my eyes desperately searching his. He huffs, “You ask questions you already know the answer to. If it went great, I’d be holding 150 grand in my hand, right? And now I’m not, so what does that tell you?” “It didn’t go well?” He nods, giving me a slight smile. “See? Now you’ve answered your own question.” I grit my teeth as yet again he’s made me feel dumb and like he knew what I was thinking about William rubs his hand on the small of my back trying to ease my slowly rising anger and I feel it dies off, but so far from letting it go. I touch his shoulder and when he looks at me, I gave him a sad face, “Is it that difficult or are you that clueless?” Japhia slaps off my hand from his shoulder and William tries to suppress his laughter but fails miserably. I turn to

“Just like the star you’ve always been there.” Karen~ “Come home with me.” Is William’s first word in the last ten minutes of our stargazing. This is the first night in this week that it didn’t rain so William and I (which is just me,) spent a few hours out looking at the stars and seeing that William showed no opposition, we drove out to an open field, spread out our mat and then we laid down on the grass and we have been gazing afar off for the last ten minutes. My concentration dwindles and I lose focus on the star I’ve been trying to tell myself isn’t moving. I know the home he’s talking about isn’t back home to my apartment, he’s talking about home back in the States. We’ve had this discussion over the last couple of days and, well, I haven’t given him a straight answer... I thought I did last time. This past week we have coexisted without tearing at each other, which is a success. Our week went by something like this. I go to class in the morning, while William stays at home

“I’m pretty sure your friend saw something special in you before he entrusted his daughter in your care, William.” Julian~ William’s POV Flashback to 13 years ago=====> Simon pulled up in front of the mainland club and, not waiting for him to come and open my door for me as usual, I pulled myself out of the car and walked to his side. “You don’t have to wait for me, Simon. Leave the keys with the security, I’ll pick it and find my way home.” “Not to be rude, sir, but the last four times you’ve driven yourself home has been terrible. This is the fourth car in one week.” He reminded me like I was complaining. “Geez, I didn’t know I had a checker on my ass.” I faked a surprised tone, while my face displayed a boring outlook. He looked at me, “Sorry, sir, but I’m not leaving till you’re leaving.” “Fine! Since you enjoy suffering so much, stay.” I spat, before marching into the nightclub blazing with loud music. Today was one of those days. I’m not trying to shoot myself in the he

“I’m going to tell you everything just like I said I would, but you’ve got to promise you will not run out or treat me like a freak in the end.” William~ Flashback=====> “Lovely name Jean. Would you like to get out of here?” I asked. “Um sure.” She nods, a faint smile appearing on her face. Taking my hand, which was stretched out to her, she followed me and we came to my car parked outside. “It’s your car?” I bit my lips and nodded. “One of so many.” “And you said your name was?” “William McQueen. Do you like want to come home with me tonight?” The smile that has been on her face for a while now broadened, “Sure.” We got into the car talking and one thing led to another and before we knew we were each other’s focus. “I still don’t know how you took out those three guys without getting a scratch.” She said with amazement and intrigue. “Martial art classes.” Is the only thing I said in response. I joined martial art with Samuel's approval immediately after my parent’s funer

“Because we were friends once and believe it or not, I care about you.” Karen~ Flashback===> I couldn’t go to work that day. Jean was my concentration. So I called my secretary and told her I had family matters to attend to. Yes, I did, because I took the day to introduce Jean to everyone in the house and that day was also the first time since Samuel’s funeral that I saw Karen and I didn’t crash down or feel the pain I always felt when around her. Jean's eyes opened and her lashes slowly lifted as those beautiful blue eyes came into view. “Morning,” she murmured, rubbing her face slowly as she sits down. I turned to her from my computer system, which I was facing and working on, a wide grin on my face. There was a mirror in front of me, so I watched her sleep even while I was working. “It’s afternoon princess, I’m pretty sure it was afternoon when we fell back into bed to sleep.” She gave me a frown on her face, “Why do I feel like our wide, unending sex stopped you from going t

“I remember years back when things didn’t go his way he’d bury himself in his bar and drink until he’s wasted, but not anymore and I think I have you to thank for it.” ~Cassandra The next seven days I spent in Oxford were unbearable and for the first time in almost four years, I was eager and longing to go home. I want to see everyone at home, but I want to see William, which seemed most important to me. I want to tell him how sorry I am for everything that happened between us and for acting the way I did. Also, I am ready to listen and hear him out and I hope to God it isn’t too late. My bags already packed and as I finish with my final exams, I headed straight for the airport, which I had already booked the flight for a week back and I have to get to the plane. That’s all I have to do. The flight was long and a little stressful, probably because I’d spent last night reading, this morning taking the exam and now sitting on a flying plane, which I’d be sitting in for the next seven
