Lahat ng Kabanata ng A Girl From the Past: Kabanata 11 - Kabanata 20

Savannah had named the cat as Carrie. She didn't know why she did it, but the name just sounded right to her. It was sounded almost like Carrick, her male british short-hair cat. Carrick was the sweetest cat ever. He had been with her since two years ago. The ball of fur had already been with her in her darkest day, often attempting to reassure his owner and offered his body to be a pillow. Savannah would took the offer, sobbing into the fur. Sure, from outside she looked like a violent, crazy, and strong woman. She didn't like showing her vurnerable side to anyone, even her own family. That was why Carrick like a best friend to her. As of now, Savannah was rubbing her temples in frustration. The two cats sure loved to fight. A vase had already broken. Aa well as a few plates and glass. Her things were scattered everywhere. If Grandma saw this, surely Savannah would be the one responsible to take car

Savannah gathered her things. This been a week after the first day Charlie accompanied her with her work. He was proven to be a good company although they could only communicate through paper and pen.His throat's condition has increased immensely too. He could already speak a few words. During his stay at the company, Savannah made sure to help him pronounce some words. A bottle of air ready on their table in case Charlie coughed badly.Savannah bid her farewell to Charlie, who nodded and waved at her. She exited the building, staring at the left and right side of the surrounding, then began to walk. She was so engrossed in her thoughts that the sudden of a hand clasped her mouth tightly made her gasp in surprise. Savannah struggled to break free from whoever tried to drag her to someplace. The person kept dragging her as she kicked, her screams muffled in the palm of the captor's hand. She was being dragged to some silent place,

Savannah brought the little girl along with her to meet Brandon. Skipping and jumping as Amara strolled in the cafe they had promised to meet.Amara grinned as Brandon, who was anxiously waiting on an empty table, turned towards the two. Amara jumped up to a seat beside him and smiled mischievously, punching his arm in a joking manner.Savannah smirked as she noticed that Brandon felt the pain from that little punch. Brandon grimaced, moving his seat a little further from the little girl, and gave her a forced smile. Amara, who seemingly didn't notice Brandon's misery just raised her eyebrow cutely.Savannah sighed, plopping down in a seat across from Brandon. They were at a four-seat table. He began to eye her a bit warily, looking around in case she brought her little army of cats to attack him again. There were none, which made Brandon sigh in relief."So?" Savannah didn't look up where she was scanning the menu in front of her, Amara joined

Mr. Hernandez was lying when he said that they had gotten a new receptionist to replace her. For a week, they were in a need of the position, so, she ended up doing both jobs. She wouldn't call him fully lying though, maybe half lying was the better phrase. Definitely, she didn't complain about how it ended up to be. Charlie, for more than two days as of now, had been doing the job just fine.Mr. Hernandez had made him her replacement, which she was thankful about. Her heart swelled in happiness as soon as Mr. Hernandez told her the news."Happy now?" He smirked at her, who resisted the urge to stick her tongue out at him.She understood that it was impossible to make Charlie the secretary since his handwriting wasn't really neat, and he sometimes lost focus a bit on what things people around him had uttered, so taking notes was hard.Mr. Hernandez also thought that Savannah would make a good secretary. He just chose her based o

It was Saturday, and Savannah was called by Mr. Hernandez to come to the office. She had enjoyed her time with Amara, but Mr. Hernandez interrupted them, needing her in the office for today's presentation. She had forgotten that she got that schedule, luckily, there was someone to remind her of that. On Saturday, employees were still supposed to come to work, but they could leave in the afternoon.Savannah readied herself. After she had a bath, she began to change into formal attire and apply some light make up.As she walked out of her bedroom, she immediately was greeted by the rare sight of Brandon holding Carrick. The grey cat seemed reluctant to be near him but didn't attempt to claw or bite him.Janette with Carrie was another story, she had tried to hold the cat down, but the little feral cat was trying to bite and get away from her hold."What are you two doing?" Savannah asked, noticing Amara who was sitting near Brando
