Chapter 11

CHAPTER 11The house was nothing to be admired. It wasn’t even Jason’s type of neighborhood, but he never judged where she stayed. Cautiously he walked up to the door, taking off his shades as he did so hesitantly knocking on the door. An older man answered with a shotgun in his hand ready to shoot Jason at any small step. “Who are you?” The man asked looking Jason in the eyes. Jason wasn’t afraid of the man he assumed was Diamond’s father. “I’m sorry to come here unannounced. I need to speak with Diamond.”

Chapter 12

CHAPTER 12Dan walked into the gloomy shady building with chicken feet and bones hanging at the entrance. People with white paint on their faces blocked him from entering with serious looks, harassing him. “Let me pass.” He demanded. One of them held out a knife to his throat. “You are not welcome here.” The man said holding the knife. “You will be eating that knife in a couple of minutes.” The man placed the knife closer to his throat, but Dan never moved.

Chapter 13

CHAPTER 13Things began to look up for Jason as he went into his new workday with high hopes. Business as usual with his clients and barely talking to Melissa, which killed her. The only thing that could ruin his day now was if Alyssa changed her mind about attending the fashion show tomorrow. Friday seemed to go by fast as his mind was occupied on the events that happened in the past and his future.

Chapter 14

CHAPTER 14The night was bound to be scary and exciting as Jason waited for Alyssa to come down from her makeover. The tuxedo he chose was a red and black mix that had a red collar with a black shirt and a black suit jacket. It fit him just right, leaving nothing to the imagination. He was nervous since it was his first time going out like this in a while. Something was bound to go wrong, but he wanted to put any negative thought behind him as he waited in the lobby for his luck to change.

Chapter 15

CHAPTER 15“Enjoying yourself?” Yolanda came to check on them on a break. “I loved the first half. The models were all different sizes and they worked the runaway.” Alyssa replied, standing to talk to them. Jason tried to ignore Abagail’s deadly stares as she sat across the runway from them. Alyssa smiled as she walked away to the bathroom. Jason noticed Abagail leaving as well and cursed.

Chapter 16

CHAPTER 16The food in bed with Jason was like a double win as she ate her ice cream watching his huge 70’ inch tv against his bedroom wall. Her heart had told her to stay the night with him and to stop overthinking about the worse. Still a bit unsure, but once she saw Jason walk out of the shower completely nude her thoughts changed. “Enjoying your ice cream?” He laughed at her as she stared at him.

Chapter 17

CHAPTER 17Jason instantly missed Alyssa once she drove out of the parking lot. She had work in the morning so she had to leave a little early to prepare herself. The building never felt so empty before. He never felt so satisfied before. The weekend turned out great despite Abagail’s attempt to piss him off, but he would give her a taste of her own medicine in the morning. Jason looked at his phone to check the time. It was 8:30 p.m now as he walked back into the building.

CHAPTER 18They all walked out including Dan who followed the detective. Wilson was the first out of the three men to speak. “Jason, what the fuck happened?” Jason stood to hit the chair as he went up. “I don’t know. She was trying to confront me about me breaking my rules and I left. That’s all I know.” “Well, you better start remembering something

CHAPTER 19Jason walked into the lobby to meet Alyssa to warn her. “Cancel all of my appointments today, Melissa.” He said walking by at first, but then looked up to see her crying. He paused knowing he would regret asking her what was wrong. “Why are you crying?” “I made so many mistakes, Jason. I lost Diamond and now you for that man, and he…” Ja

CHAPTER 20 “Miss Sampson, I hope I’m not intruding.” He bowed low trying to be courteous, but coming off extra creepy. “I’m Dan Sanders.” He held his hand out for her to grab, but Alyssa refused to touch him. “Leave Mr. Sanders. I’m not sure why you’re here.” Her lip trembled, but she wouldn’t give in to his scary act. Dan only smiled. “I see why my son is smitt
