Chapter 42
Someone was trespassing. Zach felt it first thing in the morning. He sat up quickly from where he was lying on the bed beside Anna. His nose instinctively sniffed the atmosphere and he smelt the scent of danger. The smell of evil and mischief that sent his blood boiling and his eyes darkening. Rogues. In a blink of an eye, he was already rushing towards the door, mind-linking his men to gather at the borders of the land. Before getting out that door, however, he looked back at Anna and buried the image of her peaceful sleep in his mind. He wouldn't risk putting her in danger. He promised Lola. And he never breaks his own promises. Determined to protect her no matter what, he hurried out of the mansion and shifted to his wolf form. He was a big black wolf that even in himself he knew he was intimidating and terrifying to look at. Wolves and people would shrink and cringe back from his beastly large size. No wonder A

Chapter 43
Zach gritted his teeth and tightly fisted his hands by his sides. He would kill whoever wrote this. After all these years, this unknown man came back. After all the wounds that had scarred Zach's heart. After healing for a very long time. After finding his mate. After being mended by her love and innocence, this motherfücker came back to threaten him. Without further words, he and his men went back to the mansion to plan some actions regarding the matter. He spent hours that morning trying to assure the safety and security of the pack including the land and its borders. By the time he was done, he was frustrated and still kept a stern look upon his face. Emotionless. He was alone inside his office. Thinking about everything all at once. He leaned back further on the back of his office chair and took a deep breath as he looked at the plain wall before him. Danger would be coming after Anna. He couldn't decide whethe

Chapter 44
Zach was inside his office when he smelled the delicious aroma of food. That morning, Anna had practically convinced him to let her cook lunch and prepare dessert even though he had told her he was full and that he could always ask for the cooks to prepare any food she desires. Scrunching his nose, he stood from his seat and went out of his office towards the kitchen. The sweet aroma grew stronger to his senses as he drew nearer. Once he had entered the kitchen room, he was dumbstruck. Speechless, even. Wearing his large shirt that reached her mid thighs, revealing her flushed bare legs and bare feet, she stood behind the kitchen counter with her back turned to him. Her dark hair was fixed in a fishtail, braided strands trailing down her one shoulder. Her scent mixed with the delicious scent of food and just that made him want to eat her out. As the smell clouded his eyes and nose, he walked towards her until he st

Chapter 45
What was taking too long? Anna thought as she waited patiently for Zach to come out of the house. It had been possibly only a few minutes but to her it seemed like it had been hours. With a sigh, she opened the passenger's door, ignoring the fact that she was disobeying Zach's order, and stepped outside of the truck. It was strange, she thought inmediately. There was no rush of homeliness that washed over her as she looked over the front doors that were ajar. The skies were gray and dark and grim. It seemed like a lonely day as the trees seemed to whisper something to each other. She heard it. Almost. The leaves were hushing a melancholy lullaby as if reciting a song of death to her ears. Even the wind was singing a sad melody. She hugged herself as she felt the coldness of the breeze. It was dusk yet the sun was in no sight. She couldn't see any trace of sunlight from over the trees and over the skies and just tha

Chapter 46
It was past midnight. The moon shone high above and the stars scattered the sky. He shifted to his human form wearing his basketball shorts and came out from the shadows of the trees. In front of him was a vast mansion. For days, she was forbidden to leave this place. Forbidden to leave the borders of the land. Forbidden to see him. His heart was aching. Aching for her. Without her, his heart was broken to pieces and she was the stitches. He looked up. The scent was coming from the balcony at the second floor. He climbed up the fence and sneaked inside the room. Her sweet scent quickly flooded his nostrils. Despite the darkness, his dilated eyes could see clearly across the room. She was sound asleep upon her bed. Dead to the world. He took long strides and neared the beautiful girl whom he had been aching for. Each step closer was a second closer to home. It was homesickness that surged thro

Chapter 47
Groaning, Anna woke up wrapped in Zach's arm, his heavy weight pressing over her. She shifted slightly and his grip tightened, pulling her closer. Locked in his arm, she could do nothing but look over her open window. The curtains were flying from the blow of the wind and the sun was beginning to rise. Morning sunlight was slipping through the room slowly. "Zach?" she softly whispered in his ear. His head was buried at the crook of her neck and she could feel the way his warm breath tickled her skin. He was breathing her in. She snaked her hand around his bare back and ran her fingers through his hair. Their naked legs were tangled under the sheets and she couldn't help but feel as if she was stuck in his love. Locked in his strong arms. His arms tightened around her and she felt her naked bosoms pressing harder against his hard chest. Then his hand slowly ran up and down her bare back, his calloused fingers softly

Chapter 48
The next morning she woke up to the sunlight streaming through her open balcony. For somehow, it reminded her of last night and just that intensified the longing that she felt in her heart. The part that was always aching for him. For his touch. For his lips. With a sigh and a light shake of her head, she sat up from the bed and looked around her room in wonder. Everything had changed. It seemed she had always been dependent upon her Grandmother that now she found it hard to be on her own. Everything was different then. She wasn't who she was before and now every moment of everyday in this mansion always brought her back to the memory of home. Life had never felt so lonely and she had never felt so lost and homeless. It was no one's fault, she kept telling herself, and still she

Chapter 49
William hummed, noting the way she blushed a little and the way her eyes twinkled as if she was remembering the memories too clearly. "So it was a boy?" She laughed lightly and for a moment, he was surprised. She had never laughed like that in front of him. "He's not a boy," she defended. "He's a man." "Who?" asked Bea who entered the kitchen room wearing a loose shirt and shorts. She walked towards the kitchen counter and leaned against it, one eyebrow lifted as she looked at Anna with a suspicious face. "Who are we talking about?" she asked, smiling a little. "She said something about a Prince Charming," William mumbled, his back turned to them as he cooked on the stove. "Prince Charming?" Bea echoed, a smile playing on her lips. Anna nodded slightly and a bright grin came over her lips. "A tall, dark, and handsome man," she admitted, rememberin

Chapter 50
"Oh, my God." Without second thoughts, she rose up from the bed and her book fell as she quickly ran to him. Smiling brightly, she took the little kitten from him and hugged it in her arms. Pulling back, she kissed its head lovingly then placed it on her bed, watching as it laid down upon the sheets comfortably. Turning around, she quickly hugged Jake, oblivious to the way he stiffened and instantly relaxed. His arms came around her as he hugged her back, slightly tightening his hold. "Thank you so much," she murmured to his chest and she meant it from the bottom of her heart. Pulling back, she gazed up at him and smiled. "So why are you here?" "Business," he answered simply. "Then I thought I could come and say hello, see if you're fine, and bring back your cat..Found her lost somewhere." Anna smiled wider. "Jake, I think I'm getting better and b

Chapter 52
He watched silently as she stood there at the top of the staircase. Like an angel, her face was radiant, heavenly, so beautiful. A beautiful white dress hugged her slim body, ending just above her knees, and her dark hair was properly fixed up on her head. For a moment, he was left hypnotized by her beauty. He had always thought of her as an angel in disguise. Up there, she was deity and everyone admired her from afar as if she was a goddess. She was smiling. He stared at her and it seemed to him a broken heart was hiding behind that broken smile she plastered on her rosy plump lips. And still, she smiled, even as the speaker introduced her to the crowd, declaring her eighteenth birthday. The grand celebration was taking place at the Kingsley Mansion. Werewolves from neighboring packs had come to see her. Not because she was of any importance per se but because she was human. This fact intrigued their curiosity.&nb
