Navier already realized that Sophia is someone who is fun to be with the very first time that they spent the day together. Even though, technically, they started in the most awful way to start a relationship; Sophia just keeps proving to him that somehow their start does not matter because they are already here. They still have a long way to go, but he is already liking where they are heading.  He has never done anything for anyone before, and he meant using his hands and little knowledge around the kitchen. Nicole mostly takes the responsibility around the kitchen when she wants to; hence, simply leaving him waiting for whatever she will cook for them from time to time. Navier is finishing up all the papers he needs to sign for today. He needs to finish early because he has been planning to fetch Sophia for some time now, and today is the perfect timing. According to Sophia’s schedule, her classes will end at three PM. Even if she will have some after-school activities, he would not mind waiting. He wants to make a reservation at a restaurant for their dinner, but he also wants to take Sophia in a place she likes. They can just decide later.  Someone suddenly knocks on the door and just when he looks up, it was his sister Nicole. &ld

Sophia could not help but to laugh at Navier as he told her his encounter with Miss Minchin.  He was telling her how he first wanted to surprise her, but then got lost for all the most random reasons. First was that he did not know where her department was. The solutions were so funnily obvious that he did not think of any of them. One, he could have looked into the huge university map available in the parking lot, literally in front of the space where he parked his car. Second, he could have asked anyone or could have called his uncle AKA her department dean. Another reason was that out of all the things he could do, it was to approach anyone who merely mentioned her name; hence, meeting Miss Minchin by accident.

Navier has been trying to call Sophia for the tenth time now, but she is still not answering any of his calls. Is she this busy? He already double-checked her schedule and it clearly says that her lunch break should be at this hour. She is not even answering any of his text messages.  “What’s with that sigh, baby bro? Is the world ending?” He did not even notice that Nicole, his big sister, is already in his office. “Hey, sis. Aren’t you supposed to go out with Sage today for lunch? Why are you still here?”

When Miss Minchin insisted that Sophia should go home to be able to call Navier as soon as she can, she knew that somehow, someway, something is about to happen—and she will not necessarily like it. She did go home earlier and immediately charged her phone. She must talk to Navier before she goes to the club.  All the bad feelings she had came to reality when she finally opened her cellphone, she was bombarded with all the notifications from Navier—from missed calls to text messages. She facepalms and breathes deeply. She needs to get all through these one by one, before she can even think about calling him.
