Elena rang the bell to her parent’s home. She didn’t have a key and they were not expecting her. She had acted on impulse when she turned the car around. Sunday lunch with her parents was nice. They talked and had a good time as a family. Elena got to learn more about her parents and their company. Elena sprang out of her couch. Her escape episode into Toni was over. But that wasn’t the reason why she jumped up from her couch. She jumped up because she heard a strange noise. Someone was opening the door to her apartment.She could see his frame through the glass. It was a guy.She ran to get her spatula. That was the only thing she could think of to serve as a weapon then she hid behind her couch and watched the man enter the apartment. He walked towards her. She ducked further.“Elena? are you home?” The guy spoke loudly.She didn’t respond.“honey, did you go for a run?”No response still.She watched him take out his phone and dial. Her phone started to ring. Her phone was on the couch. Then she got up slowly. He must be someone she knew before the accident because he obviously had a key and had her number. Samantha watched as Elena slumped to the ground. She tried to catch her but was not able to. She wasn't able to move as hard or as fast as she used to. And that was because of her pregnancy. She wondered how quickly the lady had fallen. One minute, they were talking, and the next minute, the lady was fainting. How weird was that? She screamed “somebody. Help. Call 000 please.” Samantha bent over to reach the lady that had just slumped. Something really felt familiar about her as she looked down on her. But she still couldn’t place it. Emma heard a knock on her door. It was just past 10.00 am and it was a Saturday. She had been having some back pains and hadn’t had a good night's sleep. So she was just about to fall asleep again when she heard the knock.
