He looked straight at me, took out a pen, and started writing on the book in front of him on the table, "keep your friends close and your enemy closer. The enemy lives among us, be cautious and be prepared for the worst. This is only the beginning, the worse is yet to come..." He was still writing when the door to the inner room opened and in comes a cloaked figure. This one was human or rather a werewolf but surely not a Changeling and looking closely at the figure, I could not see the face but the way it walks tells me the person is a female.  I squint my eyes to try and see who the person was but couldn't. Even when the person came closer to the king, I couldn't see the face because I was standing at the side but he could, since he was directly before her. With the surprised expression on the King's face, I knew the person was one that the King was in close and constant contact with.  Leaning back on his chair different emotions crossed h

I guess I just have to. The earlier I start the faster I'm put to my grave.  I gave out one last sigh before I started by jogging the first few meters then gradually increasing my pace.  Few rounds later and it was as though my legs would give way and I would collapse any minute soon. At one point I noticed that Alexa had joined the queen where she was standing under the shed of a tree, my eyes locked with her and I saw a glimmer of worry across her face as I averted my eyes away from hers and continued my rounds. I kept pushing and dragging my body telling myself it was for my good. I also encouraged myself by playing the scene of what happened to the King in his library and his words also. Reminding myself that there are lives that depend on me and for me to keep them safe I need this training now more than ever. This motivated me and gave me the strength to push on.  I lost track of time and how many rounds I had run at some point. S

This shouldn't be difficult to do since I've done it before on two different occasions. There must be something that is not adding up somewhere. There must be something that I'm not doing that I'm supposed to do.  Puffing out some air from my mouth, I raise my head to the sky and noticed how beautiful it was. The stars were out, shining brightly giving out a sense of peaceful scenery. I gave a short sign and wish I had the privilege to do some sight gazing but knew I didn't.  I look around me and saw that the Queen has left and Alexa was just ahead of me leaving as well. I jug to catch up to her, "Hey, Alexa wait up." She stopped on her track and waited for me to join her before she resumed walking.  "I didn't see you guys leave." "Yeah. I tried getting your attention but you were deep in thought and mother said I should let you be and left. I stayed a little bit to stare at the sky with you before deciding also to leave." 

HE walks towards us in hurried steps and grabs me in his hands. "What took you guys so long. I was getting worried."  Alexa shook her head and gave a short laugh, "I never knew I will live up to the day that you, brother, will become worrisome. Rest assured nothing happened we only took the long route walking here and I'm sure your guards have informed you of this already when you asked them earlier."  She walked forward and patted him on his arm then turned to where Rye was standing not too far from us with his hands folded behind his back whose attention was on Alexa.  he was looking at her as though she was the center of his world. Like she was the only existing creature at the moment. His look was more like the way my mate looks at me. I looked at Alexa and saw that her expression was filled with admiration and forgot totally that my mate and I were there standing as she walks like a seductress to his front hugging him tightly.

I turned to look at them as I was about to exit the chamber I glanced their way to read the expressions they had the minute I turned my back and smiled at them.  I could not read Lore's expression because her face was at that moment schooled into that of a poker one giving me no room to study it. While the other lady-in-waiting, whose name I finally remembered to be Brigitta, had a look of excitement and surprise on hers. I could not also get a definite study of her expression because she might as well be faking the ones on her face. But I'm not too worried, I will find a way to fish the perpetrator out without alerting them. I walk out of my chambers in mind of finding my hiding mate first before heading to the training ground.
