“I…I…am not running off! I am just leaving for lunch,” she said, her voice still rough and it was threatening his control. He grinned at her, which did nothing to help her cardiac rhythm, before looking over the papers. “If you do not need anything else, Mr. Andrews,” Sam said as she stood. She smoothed down her skirt ready to get the hell out of there.“I was hoping you would go over these papers with me,” he said, glancing up at her. “Seeing as I’m new, it would help for someone familiar with the accounts to help me get acquainted with them as well.”She very much doubted he would need her help, but again, she didn’t think she could refuse. Dan’s Bar was crowded as Sam pushed her way through the crowd to the table where Tabby and the others sat. She sat down at the table trying to ignore as much as possible David’s presence. “Hey Sam, how ya do’in,” Stephanie said, nearly beaming at her. Stephanie was the company’s website designer and managed everything that was done online.“Hey Stephanie,” Sam replied feeling a little surprised at how warmly Stephanie greeted her. She sat down and eyed Adam, who didn’t share Stephanie’s enthusiasm. Adam was another accountant at her father's company and Sam thought if anyone was a bigger goody two shoes than her it was without a doubt, Adam.“What do you want to drink, Sam? It’s on me so get whatever you want.” Stephanie started waving over a waitress.

The next morning Sam woke up slowly, with her eyes still closed she snuggled into her pillow. Curious as to what time it was, she slowly forced her eyes open. Her breath hitched in her throat when she realized she wasn’t in her bedroom. After a second of panic, Sam remembered going to David’s apartment. He’d ordered take out from the town’s newest restaurant and only Chinese restaurant, but it didn’t take long before they ended up in his bedroom.She carefully turned around and glance at David, who was still sleeping. A smile forced its way onto her face and there was no denying to herself now, she had fallen for him. He wasn’t only incredibly sexy, but she relaxed completely when she was around him and could be herself. Also, Sam enjoyed his company immensely, strangely even when he was irritating the hell out of her. Honestly, now that she thought about her life before
