Abbigail's POV I was napping on the couch when I woke to a kiss on my forehead. Shawn was knelt on the floor in front of me with her hand caressing my stomach. I give her a tired smile and she gives me a kiss. I notice Jordan behind her with Aubrey and her mother Alexis, both of them looked scared and covered in bruises."We were on our way to the cemetery when Aubrey called Jordan. Greg was using his belt to whip them and he was severely drunk," Shawn says quietly and I could see a hint of anger in her eyes. Abbigail's POV Tammy called me after Alexis passed out after her ultrasound. She said that Shawn went into a trance and wasn't responding to her voice. Melanie was there when Tammy told me what happened on speaker and her eyes fill with tears. All she had to say was "Iraq" and I knew Shawn was having a PTSD attack. I ask our sisters for a ride to the hospital and Melanie stayed with the others. When we got to the hospital a nurse brought me to the room where Shawn, Alexis and Tammy were. Alexis was still asleep in the examination chair and Shawn was sitting up against a wall with Tammy still trying to break her out of trance.I kneel the best I could in front of Shawn and caress her face in my hands. Abbigail's POV Shawn and Melanie have been gone over an hour and Joyce was looking for Shawn to do her grandmother's birthday cake. I explain to Joyce what was going on and offer to go check on them and let Shawn know Joyce was looking for her. When I reach our room, it was quiet inside.I quietly open the door and found them passed out in bed. I quietly close the door and head back down to the kitchen. Joyce looks up as I enter and tears fill her eyes when she didn't see Shawn with me."They're asleep," I say softly and she nods lightly. Hello fellow readers! I just wanted to announce that I have a second book coming out soon :). For those of you who have enjoyed Fated Love you're going to enjoy Soulmates. I would love to hear any feedback as long as it's not rude. I know I have typos and plan to fix them later. Soulmates so far has four chapters. I will be writing both books at the same time. Shawn's POV Melanie and I installed cameras around the house. The police department has direct access to the feed, should there ever be an intruder while we're working, a car will be dispatched immediately. I'm not taking any risks of Greg showing up and harming anyone while I'm not there to protect them. It's been a few weeks and thankfully he hasn't tried anything. I came down for breakfast before work and Melanie wasn't in the kitchen. I look at Beth and she shrugs. She was swaying with Michael in her arms while warming a bottle to feed him. AbbigailI woke to Beth and Joyce's perfume. Melanie was still asleep, snuggled up at my back. Joyce kisses my forehead and gives my stomach a rub. I let out a relieved breath as their kicking calms down. "Sweetheart," Joyce asks with concern. "They've been kicking hard since we watched her shootout with Greg. I didn't get much sleep," I choke in a tired whisper. "Come here," Shawn says in a soothing whisper. Joyce helps me out of the hospital bed and Beth takes my place. I climb in on Shawn's left side and carefully lay on her chest. The moment her hand touches my stomach, the twins stop kicking and I let out a relaxed sigh. "Get some sleep," Shawn says in a soothing whisper as she rubs my stomach the best she could. "Don't overdo yourself," I choke in a sleepy whisper and hold her hand in place. "This is all I need."
