Chapter 31
The island that he brought me to was very tropical and beautiful. The trees were thick and bright green and I just knew that there were plenty of terrifying insects. After we had landed, we walked together until we reached the only home, I assume on this entire island. The house was beautiful and a thing of modern technique. The exterior was black where there were walls, but most of it was made from glass and you could see clearly into the home. The interior had a biophilic design and everything was integrated with nature. It was definitely a breath of fresh air.  I lay on the bed, in bodily pain that was a reminder of what had happened last night after we had dinner. It had been painful for the most part, especially at the beginning until pleasure took over and I had begun to enjoy it. I didn’t want to but my body had a mind of its own.

Chapter 32
Octavious had failed to mention on the plane ride here that it was going to be a nude honeymoon. It felt weird to be walking around outside while I was naked. Even though Octavious reassured me that there was nobody else here but the two of us, I was still very hesitant. The sun was just beginning to set and I was walking along the beach, enjoying the feel of the sand between my toes as I walked further into the water, until I was completely covered by the cold water until my shoulders. I looked back into the house, seeing Octavious in the kitchen, moving around and preparing food for us. He told me that he would be doing all the cooking during our honeymoon so I just sit back and relax. I don’t know much about relaxing

Chapter 33
“No, no, please!” I screamed in laughter as I tried to get away from Octavious as he chased me along the beach with a crab in his hands.  “I thought you loved seafood!” He chuckled behind me as he started to catch up.  I screamed, “yeah, when it’s not alive!” I felt Octavious fingers wrap around my wrist and I screamed, flapping my hands at him while he was laughing. He brought the crab close to my face and I tried to run but he caught me.  He stopped when he couldn’t control his boisterous laughter at the look of fear on my face. “It’s not funny,” I grumbled before I joined him in his laughter, both of his bending over, trying to catch our breaths from running and laughing.

Chapter 34
The gunshots that rang through the air reminded me of the night when everything came crashing down and my life was never the same. Tears fell down my face and my bottom lip quivered. My knees buckled beneath me and if it wasn’t for Octavious’ body standing flush behind mine, I would’ve either blown myself backwards or fell to the floor because I couldn’t stand.  Octavious had my fingers wrapped around the gold gun that he had killed my sister and Dash with, and no doubt the rest of my family. He had my finger pressed on the trigger and with his fingers wrapped around my own, they forced me to keep pulling the trigger.  “I can’t do this, please don’t make me do this,” I begged Octavious as my nose blocked from my crying. I co

Chapter 35
“Octavious…” I moaned out in a voice thick of sleep as I searched around the massive bed for Octavious. I wanted him to prepare some breakfast for me because I didn’t feel like getting out of bed for the next lifetime. He had worked me over time yesterday, not from sex, but from the gun. My fingers were tired to the bone and there was a constant ringing in my ears that Octavious told me that I’d soon get used to.  I opened my eyes when I couldn’t feel the presence of Octavious’ body next to mine or anywhere close. “Octavious?” I called out, looking around the room and half expecting him to emerge from the bathroom after an early morning shower. But I was greeted with silence and I furrowed my eyebrows in distaste because that meant I had to get out of bed.

Chapter 36
We arrived back in Matlock, a little over 24 hours ago and for the first time in two weeks, I had a peaceful nights rest without Octavious next to me or on top of me. I hoped that he was taking care of the threat and he would make sure that it doesn’t get out of hand, because I’m not too keen on using the gun like he said I might. Since he’s the one who brought me into this life, he better make sure nothing bad happens to me.It was also the first time that I’ve been back in these mansion walls since my attempted escape. Being here and no longer stuck on the beach with a man who managed to make me turn against myself, I wasn’t blinded anymore and I couldn’t escape the reality of my life.

Chapter 37
“Receive the Lord’s blessing. The Lord bless you and watch over you. The Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. The Lord look kindly on you and give you peace; In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” “Amen,” Octavious and I chimed in.  If you had told me that I would bury my entire family, I guess I might have believed you. I was the youngest and I would’ve thought you meant over the course of 70 or 80 years, but never in one day. I would have never thought that I was going to bury my entire family in one day.  I covered my mouth with my hand, trying to hold back the sobs as my father’s casket was the first to be lowered into the ground. I know I said that I hate

Chapter 38
“They’re shooting at us!” I screamed as the once calm and organised convoy of security surrounding us went up in flames. The security who had been following us on their motorbikes were shot at and fell off, or their motorbikes somehow flipped and tossed them off. The scene was absolute chaos and my heart was banging against my heart as the car was forced to take on rounds and rounds of bullets, that left bigger dents each time they shot at us, “they’re shooting at us! Oh my God!” I was a sobbing, petrified and trembling mess while Octavious was calm. “I know! Listen to-” “They’re going to kill us! Octavious, they’re going to kill us!” I didn’t think I’d be joining my family so soon, I thought I’d probably have a few more years of t

Chapter 39
What was about to occur would be the first of plenty more nights like these- where the nation of Matlock will look on proudly at its female leader. A moment where the nation’s heart will be put at rest, at the knowledge that they too, like may other’s had a mother. Centuries down the line, various women will have stood behind the lone empty podium where dozens of cameras faced. They would each repeat the very words said on this night because no better speech had been given to reassure the people.  Though the time would be very different and perhaps there would spaceships and flying cars, or the world will be in ruins after humans have destroyed themselves…the speech and its effects would remain the same. All because one young women was dared promised to her godfather, the legacy that she creates and leaves behind for her future generations is one that can
