I don't waste any time, whirling around to walk quickly down the alleyway and back toward the restaurant Lev is in. Panic wraps itself around my heart that thunders against my chest as I race around the corner, refusing to look back over my shoulder. The brief image of him I got before fleeing is imprinted in my mind, yet I can't quite figure out who it was an where I have heard that voice before. I don't care who it is, I'm not getting in the car with him.

I'm not sure what has overcome me, but seeing Noah and Stace standing before me has a cascade of fear settling upon me. "Anything that you think I know, I don't..." I assure them worriedly, stumbling back a few steps. Lev grabs my arm, stopping me from fleeing completely. He knows there would be no use running now, with two Alpha and whoever Stace is standing about. They must have seen me listening in to their conversation, hearing more than they intended...

Lev and I didn't speak the entire ride back to our hotel, even though we weren't accompanied by anyone. Yet the moment we stepped outside of the car, watching it drive back off into the night as if it never existed in the first place, he grabs my arm, turning me around to face him. His eyes are wild, blond hair mussed about as if he has been running his hands tirelessly through it. "You can't do it," he growls. It's clear he shouldn't have come, that he shouldn't witnessed that. I'm starting to become used to the unpredictable world that these Alpha's live in, so I'm not so shaken by what

I've been back at work now for a week now, and everything already feel different. Lev and I returned from the Passion Pack without anymore sorted out between us. Mercifully, he hasn't brought up anything about what he said to me. Right now, I want to focus on gaining Cian's attention on Noah's behalf, instead of whether I should be dating my best friend or not. Laying back on the staff couch, I stare at the magazine full of numbing stories and extravagant pictures. Every lunch break has been like for me recently, as I simply wish time would pass by quickly.

I kick my legs up onto the couch, lounging back. This position seems to be the one I resume everyday after work, exhausted from the facade I'm having to keep up. At least in my apartment I can feel safe, where I can actually relax. Here, Cian can't get to me, can't say anything to me while I'm trying to work. But that doesn't mean I don't have other issues to deal with... Lev collapses onto the couch next to me, picking my le

It's beyond strange, seeing Cian standing in the centre of my room. He's awkwardly tall in here, and otherworldly. Just him standing here makes the furniture around him look mundane, to the point I'm almost embarrassed to have him in here. More than that though, I'm absolutely terrified. The last time I saw him outside of his cell, he took me to the immortal realm. "I didn't mean to scare you," he says softly, stepping toward me. I match is back, unease. "But I think we should talk."

I stare out the window, the rain trailing down in rivets suiting my mood. The building in front of me that block my view of the city seems to be taunting me today. I feel trapped, confused and even a little bored. I haven't heard from Cian in over two weeks, and because I'm scared of facing Lev after him encouraging me to decide whether I want to be with him or not, I'm bound to my room.Everyday I've gone to work, and Cian hasn't been in his cell. It made the staff panic for awhile, some even too scared to come to work, although it hasn't bothered me. I know that wherever he is gone, it's far away, and his intentions are to hurt other people, not me or that staff at the facility.Because Cian has been gone, I haven't been able to do my job in gaining his trust, although it seems I may have already blew it.And if I'm honest, I

The trek up the rest of the mountain was not easy. Stace could have at least left me with a jacket. At last, my hand grasps the frosty front door handle of the cabin, prying it open. The heat emanating from the fireplace envelops me immediately, having me practically falling into it. I want to fall into the fur rug that I've kicked snow into, but I restrain myself, looking around the small cabin for any sign of the immortal. Sure enough, he rounds the corner and into the small living space, taken aback by the sight of me before him, in only a short-sleeved shirt and pants.

~Abella Once again, I avoid Cian’s grasp. His words are not a surprise, but it’s still terrifying to hear him say it.He bent his head down, almost like he is reluctant to mention it, and asked me to come with him to the immortal realm. "I can't go to the Immortal realm with you,” I exclaim firmly. The last time I went with him to the Immortal realm, I didn’t have a choice, and although I didn’t explore beyond Cian’s personal home, it was terrifying. ¬Amolet Stace doesn’t respond for a long moment, he just stares at me. "I hope Cian hasn't been manipulating you,” he responds quietly after a moment. It may be the wrong thing to do, to reveal my hand right now, but if I go behind everyone’s back to find out the truth about Abella, the fallout will be worse. Now I just have to prove to Stace that the need to know whether Abella is okay or not is fueled by me, and not Cian.  "Tell me the truth, Stace,” I demand, taking a step toward him, making him step back warily, even if he is the one with some u
