JelenaIt’s dark when I awaken. My visions hazy, and I can barely see a thing. That’s the bad part of being in the middle of a forest where your nearest neighbor is seven miles away, and the only sounds here are of birds and squirrels. For some reason, my head throbs excruciatingly. Arching my neck, I blink my eyes in hopes of clearing my blurry vision. I must have fallen asleep at an odd angle last night because every muscle in my body feels stiff. Taking a deep breath, I try to relax my sore muscles and move around to alleviate the ache, but my body will not cooperate. And that’s when I come to the realization─ I’m not in my bed. Eyes wide, I look down and sob in horror when I see that I’m actually strapped to a chair.Suddenly, the memory of what happened rushes through me. I remember two men coming to my house and attacking me. Frightened, I blink my eyes, trying to adjust my vision. That’s when I see the barren white walls and t

JelenaI open my eyes, feeling my head pounding. This time instead of the lab, I’m in a large empty room. The room is just as barren as the other one I woke up in. I stand up on shaky legs, feeling a little nauseous. Whatever the doctor gave me is still in my system. I slowly make my way around the room and almost fall when I realize that my ankle is shackled to a wall.Suddenly, the front door opens. The man from earlier walks in. “You’re awake. Good.” I back up towards the wall. He tilts his head sideways, and his eyes narrow. He gives me the once-over with a sneer on his face. It makes me feel like a bug under a microscope. “You know…Traeger saw you. We had to incapacitate him to keep him from killing anyone.  Now, here’s a question for you, little girl. Why would Traeger go completely berserk over a girl he barely met?” I swallow deeply, understanding the repercussions of his question. I try to calm my heart, st

JelenaTraeger and I are both lying face to face in one of the cabin’s rooms. My leg is lying over his, and his hand is on my back. I run my hand up and down his back, thinking about what was said earlier. Mathias and the rest of the Council enforcers decided that they’d wait till deep into the night to go to the Institute. Traeger was able to contact Arsenal and Grey telepathically, giving them a heads up on the plan. According to them, the Institute is in an uproar. They sent several men to search for us.Nevaeh and Cassia turned out to be really nice. We were delighted to find out that we’d attend Cal. State together. Cassia already graduated, but she said she’d give me a tour. I learned about her and Mathias’ love. I was also shocked to find out that Mathias’ is Nevaeh’s dad. Apparently, angels and many other supernatural beings are immortal. Even though Mathias looks like he’s in his twenties, he is actually thousand

JelenaIt has been a while since I last saw Traeger. I miss him so much. After I was “rescued” from the forest. I was taken to a hospital to have myself checked over. They asked me a lot of questions. Especially how I survived. I told them that I had taken a water bottle and a few protein bars. Which was made valid when Traeger left a few empty bottles and wrappers. He also placed my swim bag in the spot to prove that I carried water and protein bars for a walk. Thankfully, the police didn’t find the bag in my house, because I had left it at the campsite by mistake. I told him about it when we were planning my “rescue.” He went back for it, ran it through some dirt and threw it near the empty bottles. My parents showed up in the hospital looking happier than I’ve ever seen them. After several happy cries and hugs, we went back to the cabin. I was not allowed out of my parent’s sight after that. We went home days l

Traeger Jelena and I have been together for over five months, and I have never been happier. That’s why I decided that tonight I’m going to invite Jelena to move in with me. To some, it might be too fast, but to me, it feels right. I mean, we’re soulmates, and I know that I will never love another the way I love her. Not only did she teach me what love is, but she taught me how to live. Because of her, my packmates and I are free.Right now, my packmates are settled in their own places. They make an effort to pay their respects to me at least twice a week.Another thing that surprised me was seeing Dorian. He came over to the house a couple of days ago. Apparently, he was also offered a position to be a professor at Cal State. He is going to teach literature. I’m no surprised that he was hired to teach literature. When we lived in the institute, the doctors would keep him calm by giving him books. Sometimes, he’d read
