As he walked into the room, he saw her sitting up on the bed. She stood up and walked towards him as he shut the door. She held his arms and followed him to the bed.He sat on the bed and let out a slight groan as he felt pains in his abdomen"Should I switch on the lights?" She asked and he shook his head."You shouldn't have gone out," she said as she sat beside him"I really needed to see him" he said as he took off his shoes"Should I get your medicines?" She asked and he nodded. She walked to the shelf to get his drugs and then she returned with a glass of water. She sat beside him and watched him swallow the tablets. He sighed and removed his hoodie. She looked at his wound and he looked at her face."Did you get something to eat?" He asked and she smiled"Yeah, I ate like a bull," she said and they both laughed. "Lucia was here this evening" she said "Oh, really?" He asked"Yeah, and I was able to call my dad too. I told him I'm fine and he wanted me to come home immediately" s

He stood in front of the coffee shop watching the few people moving to and fro in front of the entrance door. It was dark and the whole place was lit up with streetlights and different lights from the few shops and tall buildings around."Eden, over here" he heard a voice behind him.He turned and a smile appeared on his face as he saw Julius standing behind him, dressed in a black long jacket. "I'm sorry for taking so long, there was much work at the office today" he said as Eden walked towards him"I haven't waited for so long," Eden said and they both smiled"Can we sit in the car please?" Julius asked and he nodded. They walked to his car which was parked at the roadside and they both entered the car. He brought out a cup of chocolate raspberry parfait and handed one to him."I don't have time to cook, so I settle with junks sometimes before going home," he said and Eden laughed."Maybe it's time you get a woman" he said with a smile as he watched him eating a burger"Seriously, b

She asked and he smiled"You're a good man Eden," she said as she looked into his eyes.He smiled and stood up as he gave her the wristwatch."I will need to start going now" he said"Why? So soon?" She asked as she stood up too"Yeah, you want your father to come get me?" He asked"No, but.. Eden, I want you to stay" she cried and he sighed and walked back to her.He wrapped her in his arms and she held him tightly."I love you," she whispered and he kept silent. He recalled how Rosa had whispered those words over to him before her death. He squeezed her body in his arms and they both stayed that way for a moment. He looked into her eyes and removed the strand of hair from her face. She smiled as he planted a s

They ate, chatted and laughed happily at the table."Come on, let's go and swim. It's hot down here" Julius said as he stood up from the table."Yeah, I need to cool off," Eden added as he took off his dress immediately. He ran after Julius who was heading to the pool at the front yard and their laughter could be heard as they splashed into the water."Paulo, come on, let's go over to the pool" Jonathan said to Paulo who stood up excitedly."I've never seen Eden so happy all his life," Tracy said as soon as the boys left"Eden deserves to be happy" Juliet said as she stood up from the table."Thank you Jessica, for bringing light into his life" Tracy said to Jessica who was clearing the table. She smiled and pushed her hair backwards."I just hope he will one day change from the path he is threading" she said"Eden would change. It's just a matter of time. We will take things slowly" Juliet said as she grabbed an apple."Yes. With the presence of you and Julius, I believe he will have

Everything that happened last night became clear in her head and she placed a palm on her forehead immediately. She looked around the room but there was no sign of him. She looked underneath the duvet covering her body and she sighed heavily as she found herself unclad. Her lips were quite swollen and her whole body ached badly.Just then, she saw him walking into the room, wearing only black shorts over his bare chest.“Hey,” he called in a deep voice as he walked over to the bed.Her heart skipped and she couldn’t bring her face to look at him.
